The staff were very helpful but sometimes battled with English. Fairlyt central but prepare to walk a lot! 20 mins to the station. Close to Duomo and to the street market. We preferred to buy from the shops - less aggressive salespeople and still good prices. Breakfast was not great - tinned fruit, no gluten-free options, no fresh fruit juice.... More

We stayed 2 nights in florence on our trip to Italy and feel we got lucky to find such a great hotel at such a good price. Italy can be really expensive, but this place was definitely on our budget and provided more than we were expecting. The room was nice and clean and everything worked as it should, and... More

Classic European decor in a quiet section of Florence just a couple of blocks from the main drag. The large rooms give you plenty of room to stretch out and relax after spending your day walking around the city. The large shuttered windows make you feel like a local living there. The staff was more than accommodating and friendly. Breakfast... More

This small hotel is adequate and clean with a very friendly and helpful staff located in a quiet section of Florence. The rooms are adequate and some may like the ceiling artwork on what was once a residence. You can see that the rooms were modified by adding bathrooms, etc. The rooms we had were probably larger than one would... More

Great Hotel the makes you travel back in time to Renaissance. Room decor with style and fresh painting on ceiling....but small bathroom. Very friendly staff. Within walking distance from "downtown"...around 400m (~450yd). Recommended!

We just returned from a week in Italy and stayed in Florence 2 nights at this hotel. Plus: We had air conditioning that worked. Bathroom was typical small Europe version. Breakfast buffet was ok and the location was good. Desk staff was friendly and helpful. It was clean and bed was comfortable. Minus: Room was dark, no overhead light fixture,... More

What a lovely respite from the dingy 3 star hotels we had left behind in Rome! Hotel Cimabue really exceeded our expectations and is close to deserving a 4 star recognition (better than the true 4 star hotel I currently am in at Lake Como!) Spacious rooms, beautifully renovated bathroom, wonderful location within the quaint streets of florence, yet close... More

The room was very poorly decorated, the bathroom was tragic. Very minimally decorated. The furniture was old, looked like we were in the old laundry house of the building. Breakfast was poor. Didn't worth the 138 euros.

Lovely, traditional hotel located close to the centre. Great value for money. Very clean and comfortable. The only problem was other quests who were so noisy!!! Hotel is located in old building with thin walls and wooden doors so you can hear people running through corridor. Good continental breakfast and friendly staff.
