We stayed at the Hotel Cimabue in June 2014. Before I went to sleep, I noticed a dime-sized dark purple blood stain on the comforter cover. I know this is blood because I know what blood looks like. (judge for yourself in photo below, though the photo doesn't do it justice) There is no way this was chocolate, coffee, etc.... More

We had a quad room with one full/queen bed and two twin beds. It was a little tight but we still had room to move around in the room. This hotel is in a great location for walking around Old Florence. Everything, at least for us, was in walking distance. It cames with breakfast which included yogurt, bread, pastries, cereal... Our room was very nice (no bad smell at all), with a lovely newly renovated bathroom (the very nice shower was in the bathroom where it belonged). The twin beds were narrrow and quite firm. The breakfast was good, with lots of choices and coffee made to order. The neighbourhood was quiet and not too far from restaurants and the... More

From the minute we arrived, the staff here helped make our trip memorable. The rooms are basic but some have beautifully painted ceilings and the breakfasts are excellent. There are lots of small shops and restaurants close by and the location is ideal, close enough to walk into the heart of the city but far out enough to feel like... More

We were there in the off season and really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Cimabue. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. They were excellent at making our stay in Firenze a wonderful experience. The breakfast served in the dining area was the perfect start to the day. They even had a little coffee bar to serve your favorite... More

The hotel was adequate for our needs which were purely to get in as much sight seeing as we could in 2 days. Service was OK, staff were young but friendly enough and helpful when asked to assist. The safe in the room couldn't open until just before we left but they did offer to move us to a different... More

I will start with the positives: the service at this hotel was quite good. We had a young lady majority of the time and she was very attentive to our needs. We had issues with the wifi and she made every attempt to fix it for us. She also assisted us with changing rooms at the start of our stay... More

I thought this hotel was clean, friendly with great wifi. The rooms were a decent size. Blow dryers were nice. Has an elevator if you have a lot of luggage. The cappuccinos were made fresh to order. Basic breakfast, only thing I wish they had fresh fruit. It was not super close to the train station but about 11 euro... More

This is not a luxury hotel, but I should say we had the largest room of any place we stayed in Italy. The hotel has a old-fashioned style and the service was great. It's about 15min walk from anything you want to see, which we appreciated as you could get away from the massive crowds around the Duomo and Ufizzi... More

I really dislike giving bad reviews but this hotel fell short. There is a horrible sewer stench in front of the building at all hours of the day which they can't help but it's disgusting. When we checked in initially we asked if they A/C was working because it was warm out as well as in our room. The front... More
