Great Hotel the makes you travel back in time to Renaissance. Room decor with style and fresh painting on ceiling....but small bathroom. Very friendly staff. Within walking distance from "downtown"...around 400m (~450yd). Recommended!

We just returned from a week in Italy and stayed in Florence 2 nights at this hotel. Plus: We had air conditioning that worked. Bathroom was typical small Europe version. Breakfast buffet was ok and the location was good. Desk staff was friendly and helpful. It was clean and bed was comfortable. Minus: Room was dark, no overhead light fixture,... More

What a lovely respite from the dingy 3 star hotels we had left behind in Rome! Hotel Cimabue really exceeded our expectations and is close to deserving a 4 star recognition (better than the true 4 star hotel I currently am in at Lake Como!) Spacious rooms, beautifully renovated bathroom, wonderful location within the quaint streets of florence, yet close... More

The room was very poorly decorated, the bathroom was tragic. Very minimally decorated. The furniture was old, looked like we were in the old laundry house of the building. Breakfast was poor. Didn't worth the 138 euros.

Lovely, traditional hotel located close to the centre. Great value for money. Very clean and comfortable. The only problem was other quests who were so noisy!!! Hotel is located in old building with thin walls and wooden doors so you can hear people running through corridor. Good continental breakfast and friendly staff.

I stayed in this hotel in August for 4 nights whilst visiting Florence. I am a solo traveller/backpacker and I am a 22 year old female. First impressions of the hotel are nice, simplistic and quite traditional. Although a little hard to find at first! Extremely easy to get into central florence, walking distance about 10 minutes to the cathedral... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights after visiting Rome. One morning when trying to sleep until 9 AM there was someone hammering something outside our window. I think the building is shared by offices and families so there were more than just guests in and around the building. The room was decently sized and clean... More

We stayed at the Hotel Cimabue in June 2014. Before I went to sleep, I noticed a dime-sized dark purple blood stain on the comforter cover. I know this is blood because I know what blood looks like. (judge for yourself in photo below, though the photo doesn't do it justice) There is no way this was chocolate, coffee, etc.... More

We had a quad room with one full/queen bed and two twin beds. It was a little tight but we still had room to move around in the room. This hotel is in a great location for walking around Old Florence. Everything, at least for us, was in walking distance. It cames with breakfast which included yogurt, bread, pastries, cereal... Our room was very nice (no bad smell at all), with a lovely newly renovated bathroom (the very nice shower was in the bathroom where it belonged). The twin beds were narrrow and quite firm. The breakfast was good, with lots of choices and coffee made to order. The neighbourhood was quiet and not too far from restaurants and the... More
