On first arrival we were met by a nice young manager that spoke English fairly well and was very friendly. Our room was clean and of ample size. The breakfast was decent. Not a large selection but what was offered was fine. Then I find out that they apparently make it where the hot water(or heat although we never needed... More

Cute very old hotel really close to main attractions, within walking distance of city centre. Some of the Staff not too friendly. Building is really old, so rooms are very outdated and small. Breakfast was ok. You have to leave the room' s key every time you go out. Wi-Fi very bad.

This hotel is old, has a "particular" smell and the front desk people are very rude. The location is not the best since you have to walk for about 15 mins through dark streets before getting to the main area. There is no working elevator to go up, you can only take it to go down... The doors are locked... More

So far, so good. I like the Cimabue, but I can see why many might not. It's an acquired taste. It has quirks, and isn't a "typical" hotel. It's actually very beautiful, our room, #114, on the ground floor, is very close to El Salottino, or the sitting area back behind the front desk. It's one of the rooms with... More

The hotel is quite old and dark. It is noisy from the street traffic. The room was clean and the staff was somewhat friendly. The wifi only worked near the front desk, not in our room. The breakfast was OK. They said they had a bar but we never seen it opened. The location was OK, not far from the... More

Florence is a great city, you may just want to stay somewhere else. Our room is a large closet. When you set your suitcases out, they and the bed take up the whole room. It is clear that no money is spent on upkeep or updating. To the old window (that when closed) has a breeze blowing in constantly (the... More

Our room had moquitos and was rather small. The staff was OK. Location is OK. Bed was a bit smaller than a queen. Breakfast was pretty lame. Not bad but certainly not great. We had expected to be staying at the other Hotel Cimabue 9 and had a very different expectation so were disappointed. I'd not stay here again. Great... More

When we arrived at the hotel from the train station we were told that the hotel had a problem with a leak and had moved our reservation to another hotel only 5 minutes walk from there. It was the longest 5 blocks of our entire trip! When we got to the second hotel, their A/C was out! It was very... More

Perhaps needs front desk covered 24 hrs . As we had people banging and screaming all from 2am till 7.30 am. Granted the staff had received complaints next day and they were much quieter next night. Good location

The staff were very helpful but sometimes battled with English. Fairlyt central but prepare to walk a lot! 20 mins to the station. Close to Duomo and to the street market. We preferred to buy from the shops - less aggressive salespeople and still good prices. Breakfast was not great - tinned fruit, no gluten-free options, no fresh fruit juice.... More
