We spent a really good time at this Hotel. The high, frescoed ceiling as well as the furniture were beautiful. We stayed at Hotel Cimabue for 4 nights in July. This hotel is central. It has a very homely atmosphere and is very clean. The rooms are large, with air conditioning, free internet access and other facilities one would require for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was very good and served in a very comfortable area. Such a charming, quaint hotel. Located about 9long blocks from the train station ... this is a decent walk if you're pulling baggage and it's all slightly up hill! We arrived at 11:00am, and were told that check in was a ridiculous unheard of 3pm. Room was really small, Staff were not friendly, absolutely no customer service and rude. Bathroom way too small. We booked this hotel cause it looked good on the webpage and was a family run place. The location is a bit away from the center of Florence but its no problem to walk if you are reasonably fit. Hotel Cimabue was a nice place to stay in a central location in Florence. Clean and effecient and reasonably priced. I will recommend it to other travelers going to italy. more
