We checked in to this hotel on Sunday and was well received by the hostess. She spoke enough English to help us. They have a small secure garage to park your car but it cost 20 EUR a day. We were given the blue room with four beds. That children had their own area. Breakfast was good for Italy since... More

The location is great, right by the main train station and the main part of the city on a quieter street. They have a great lobby with a wonderful breakfast in the morning and helpful staff! The room was small but clean and comfortable, we enjoyed our stay!

This hotel is perfect for a few nights to see all the sights and attractions in Florence. Our room was enormous with a big clean bathroom and beautiful views from the window to the little cobbled streets below. Despite previous reviews we had no drilling in the e mornings. Literally a 5 minute walk from the station and 10 minute... More

We stayed here Sunday through Friday. We expected a hostel accomodation but we receive a lovely room, clean, large, with a modern shower and in fact just what one needs for a location central to tour the city. The building had great charecter and in spite of it being close to the train station it is on a quiet street with some good... More

We stayed in the blue room. Room was massive and so was the bathroom that included a spa bath. Only negative of the place was that the spa bath didn't work properly but the bath tub was one of the biggest I have seen in any hotel room. One of the reception staff was very proficient in English and friendly.... More

Perfectly situated hotel nearby the railway station and within a walking distance from the cathedral and the rest... very nice staff, calm (no noise at all), rooms very clean. Breakfast was simple but contained all the necessary from sweet to salty varieties.

Honestly, amazing location - easily walkable to EVERYTHING. Felt safe and secure and the family that runs the hotel are the sweetest people. Breakfast in the mornings was delightful. Very modern bathroom with digital settings that allow you to play music or add steam (fancy!). Only issue was that our shower flooded one night and when we went down to... More

We arrived to find we had been allocated a Double Room instead of a Twin although we had book 4 months in advance. At first we were told it was the Agencies fault and that they didn't have another room but when I complained at not being advised so that I could go elsewhere they managed to find us a... More

Our room was small, cramped, shabby, claustrophobic and poorly maintained. The staff were rude and unhelpful when I reported an issue. Breakfast was like a zoo, but to to cap it all we were awoken at 7.00 by a pneumatic drill from the building next door which is undergoing major works.

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
