It was raining when my sister and I arrived in Florence (in the train station), so we decided to take a taxi, and we're glad we did! We were traveling with heavy suitcases, and I'm sure we would have gotten lost if we didn't take the taxi. The entrance to the hotel is tucked away in an alleyway, which I... More

I booked the apartment across the street from the hotel because it seemed like a really good deal. We went into the hotel to get our keys and the hotel itself seemed okay. When we opened the doors to the building that housed the apartment a terrible odor hit us. The odor followed us into the apartment. Although the odor... More

My friend and I stayed in quite a cute but very basic room down a smelly corridor on the third floor. The staff were delightful but only met one who was a lovely friendly Indian man. He was very polite and pleasant. However the room stank so badly I got a sore throat and my friend got sore eyes. The... More

The Relais Uffizi is a very cozy home base for exploring Florence. We did have a bit of an adventure finding it, in the rain. (We suggest the hotel post a video on its website of "how to find us" from the train station, or even just starting from the Piazza della Signoria. ) It has the feel of a... More

Very nice single room in Annex. Staff was very friendly and let me have an early check in. Location is great for exploring the city. Downsides to the hotel are spotty wifi, severe lack of hot water no matter what time you try to shower and very limited toiletries (shampoo and bar soap only). Also the room is near the... More

The hotel was very nice. We stayed in a triple room for 3 people and we had plenty of space. I stayed in a loft that very large while my parents slept in the master suite downstairs. The hotel had a nice breakfast with a great selection from their breakfast buffet. The hotel is hidden on a small side street,... More

Yes, as others have said, the location is very convenient. Also, to be fair our room was spacious and clean. But the hotel was well below its rating and reviews and frankly felt unsafe. Arrival at the hotel begins with a sketchy alley walk past garbage and a "buzz in" front door with no greeting area. There was no sense... More

If you can afford it, this is perfect tourist hotel for Florence. Intimate, central, spectacular views from some rooms and very helpful staff. It is right by the Uffizi and fiv emins from the Duomo. Some of the furniture is a bit old fashioned but it is clean and comfortable. make sure you get v good directions as the entrance... More

We returned to this hotel for the third time because of its location and affordability, and of course the friendly staff. However I was little disappointed to find out that there are few things that are not well maintained. Drain pipe was clogged and I had to clean it myself because water literally overflowed onto the bathroom floor. Cushion covers... More

My friends and I (group of 4) stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in the Signoria Apartment. It was VERY spacious! The apartment had a kitchen & laundry included, with a large living room and 2 sleeping areas. 1 was a bedroom with a queen bed, and the other was a loft style section joining the living room with... Staying in Uffizi

Neighborhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
