The location of the hotel is excellent, 2 minute walk to Piazzi Della Signoria where Uffizi Gallery is located and open square. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are quite large for Italy. The negative is the furnishings of the rooms and hotel in general need to be updated. The breakfast was standard Italian breakfast but they... More

We ended up staying in the attached Uffizi House property. Everything was fine, except that it was confusing to arrive in Florence after midnight and get shuttled to another entrance around the corner. The parking situation is confusing (arrive before they close at 1am, get a ride to the hotel) and driving as far as the parking garage is confusing... More

I knew when I booked it that this hotel was centrally located. Little did I know, what a FANTASTIC location it really was! You are maybe 50 feet off the Piazza Signoria, the alley just to the right of the Loggia. Down that alley and then 15 feet down another alley. And the word alley does not describe the charming,... Relais Uffizi overlooks the Vecchio Palace and while not all the rooms have a view of the square, the ones that don't are pin-drop quiet. It's about a three minute walk to the Uffizi -- one of Europe's top three art museums. The air conditioning worked well in the midst of one of Italy's worst heat waves. The multi-lingual staff... This is a small boutique hotel that seems to be family owned. The breakfast was very good. The room with the loft was very spacious, but there was a nasty stench. Still, worth the stay. The family loft required some effort as the elevator is disconnected from the room. My kids loved the loft area with two small beds.

Great 2 night trip here. The location is perfect to see as much of Florence as possible in a short time. We stayed in room 18 which had a mezzanine level for the children to sleep, a small living area and bedroom downstairs. Quite spacious! We had no view but the room configuration made up for it with two children.... More

We only stayed in this apartment for one night but found it safe, roomy, and quiet. It is not in the main hotel, therefore, you do not want to take your bags up to the reception area if you are staying in the apartments, as you will have to bring them down again and across the street. The hotel is... More

The Relais Uffizi is simply put - FABULOUS. On a small passageway just off the Piazza della Signoria, turn left and your are steps away from the Piazza; turn right and you are on a charming side street with lovely shops. Alessandro and his team provide excellent service and are very accommodating to requests. The hotel is in a 17th... More

The first thing you have to know about this hotel is where it is. The location could not be better- once you find it. The hotel actually looks over Piazza Della Signoria right next to the Uffizi Gallery. However the entrance is tucked away down an alley. Once you know where it is, there are about three ways you can... More

Sometimes blowing our budget to appreciate this eponymous Palazzo Niccolismi al Duomo, is a real concern in finding both a fab location and a reasonable price. The double wood doors of this ancient building overlooking Piazza della Signoria, are located on the quaint narrow back street off the piazza. Upstairs is the main reception area and its nice to know... More

Staying in Uffizi

Neighborhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
