Having stayed in the Plus camping in Rome I was expecting a lot more from this campsite. The facilities are very basic (no power plus in tent, toilet block quite far away from tents) and the price should be lower in relation to this. This being said it is an amazing location in relation to Central florence and if you... More

Nice place to stay when you want to bring a visit to Florence. Not to expensive and everything you need is there, nice restaurant with good pizza's, enough place to charge your phone en resonable sanitairy and 10 min wolking distance to town. The restaurant had a very nice vieuw of Florence!!

Recently stayed at camping Michelangelo.. Wasn't the nicest place to stay but it's doable. Bit challenging trying to take a bag to the tent cabins as it's all down hill on a dirt road. Rooms are stinking hot of a morning and during the day, shower heads have poor pressure or are extreme, service at the restaurant was very bad..... More

This camping is situated fantastically, right beside Piazzale Michelangelo with a great view of Florence, and also just a 5 minute walk down to the city - a bit longer to city centre. There is a restaurant on the campingsite which has good food and a great view also. There isn't elecitricity (except one lamp) inside the housetents you can... More

We came across the Plus Camping website and thought 'Wow, this looks fabulous! Let's camp in Italy! It looks great!' Boy were we disappointed. The actual campground looks nothing like the website. We were given a key to our tent, and the first thing we notice when we walked in was that there were two HUGE spiders inside. Equipped with... More

CONS -Tent filled with Mosquitos and slugs -wifi only available in the bar area, and drops in and out constantly -No power points in the tents or anywhere besides the bar area, you share 4 plugs with the ENTIRE campsite. -Only one block of toilets and if you're staying in the cabin tents you are extremely far away, which is... I've been touring different campsites all across Europe, and this place is a disgrace. Allow me to indulge you of the sheer disgust you will undoubtably feel if you decide to stay here... There's no Wifi, don't even bother asking, it's always broken. I'm convinced they purchased a router, and that's the signal you see, but it's not hooked up... More

During our 2 week travels of Italy we booked ourselves into this "cheap friendly and lively" campsite for 4 nights. Long story short we left after a couple of hours to find anywhere else to stay. Tent included house guests of spiders and mosquitos, market and bar both closed and upon asking their opening times we were told "when we... More

It's cheap but it should be cheaper.. Dirty place covered in ants and Mosquitos, the toilets are dire.. The "market" is closed forever, ATM permanently empty, no shops near by and after it shuts at around 12 the restaurant or bar doesn't open till 1830.. So unless you want just a place to leave your bags and sleep don't stay... More
