Do not stay here. There's lights in the tents, no powerpoints though. Beers are pricey as, there's literally no vibe and nothing to do. It's not like the photos, and NOTHING like camping plus Roma.. The ATM on the map doesn't exist either. Go elsewhere, spend your pennies, don't do this to yourself.

I'm not surprised at some of the reviews of this place; but for me it was average. About the outlets: yes they are only in the bar/communal area and sometimes it's crowded u have to wait, but you'll usually end up being able to charge your stuff at one point or another. I haven't been to a camping place anywhere... More

At the time of writing, a disco nearby is pumping up loud music. Even with earplugs, impossible to sleep. It's only 00:30. Toilets are basic indeed and the idea of not being able to sleep doesn't like me a all!

I will premise this review by saying, I'm not precious nor am I caught in a fit of rage over what has happened here I am simply being unreservedly honest. To begin with the facilities here are very basic, no power points in the tents, not even enough power points anywhere except outside in the bar area which is futile... More

Plus camping was so bad that we were going to stay 5 nights and cancelled after the first to stay somewhere else. It was so far away from the city centre, the cabins were dreadful, the shared bathroom was dirty and a long walk from our cabin. Definitely would NOT recommend.

I had the worst experience in here, the showers are very dirty and the water cold. The staff in the reception were rude and not helpful. There so many mosquitos, bring a bug spray if you go there. There was this huge spider in my bed just chilling waiting for the mosquitos to appear. The restaurant is too expensive, just... More

I have to say that we can not give much of a Review as it turns out that Camping Michaelangelo is no longer accepting Touring Vans or Camper Vans. We turned in on a very hot afternoon in August along with several others and were redirected to Camping Firenze 3 miles down the road. Can you let other people know... More

We had prebooked 3 cabins, it was nowhere posted on the Website that you could also camp there in your own tent. When we arrived we wanted to change the booking and just camp in our own tent. The guy at reception refused to change it and said he would charge us for the full stay in the cabin. He... More

My husband and I are both the 'type' who get bitten by mosquitos. We lasted 20 minutes before deciding to stay somewhere else. Our tent had gaps at the floor all the way round and was full of mosquitos. Our lock didn't work, the wifi didn't work in the tent and there were no plug points. I know that this... More

My husband and I stayed at the PLUS camping Jolly in Venice and we loved it, they offered us a 10% discount if we wanted to stay here at Michelangelo, but to our surprise they didn't gave us the discount, there was a guy at the front desk that spoke broken English and he asked another old guy (that looked... Staying in Piazzale Michelangelo

Neighborhood Profile
Piazzale Michelangelo
Just outside the ancient walls of Florence, Viale Michelangiolo starts. It is a winding road rimmed by wonderful poplars and holm oaks. The long ascent opens up to the most beautiful and famous panoramic viewpoint of Florence: Piazzale Michelangelo, where an elevated terrace offers visitors an incomparable and breathtaking view of the entire city from above. During good weather, Piazzale Michelangelo provides visitors with a serene space surrounded by the amazing landscape, better if accompanied by a fresh gelato from a local kiosk. During night, visitors will be dazzled by the warm lights of the capital of the Renaissance. Spend a second with the silent Romanesque beauty of the Basilica of San Miniato al Monte: the one that wishes good morning and good night to Florence!
