This is a family run hotel which is beautifully situated on the hill above the town and has a magnificent view. It is great to return to the peace and tranquility after a hectic day in town. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The breakfast is buffet style and fine. They will serve simple snacks in the evening which... More

The hotel is just outside the centre in a lovely area. We had a great room with an amazing view of the city. The value for money was superb and we would wholeheartedly recommend. The owners / staff are absolutely superb and cannot help enough which really did make the stay very special. Didn't eat here and frankly it was... More

Our family stayed here for 6 days in the summer and found the hotel to be beautifully maintained by the owners and extended family. The hotel probably hasn't changed much in the last 50 years but the old fashioned approach is appealing. We liked the little touches such as fresh towels every day and bed spread turned down every night... More

Spacious and well furnished rooms, always clean. Excellent views of the city from balcony rooms. Nice staff, very helpful and friendly. 10 minute bus-ride from centre, or a 30minute walk. It is ideal if with car or motorino's so as to avoid the walk.

One of the reasons we had chosen this Hotel was the availability of in-room air conditioning as advertised. When we arrived we were informed, that it is only working from June to August. The problem was not so much the temperature during the night, but sleeping with the windows open, invites all the biting insects to enter the room, which... More

This is a lovely hotel about 30-40 min walk from the town (up hill on the return) and definitely not 20 min like some reviews say. It is easy to catch a bus and a cab from town only costs 8 euro if you catch it south side of the river. The room was very clean and comfortable, we had... More

We stayed 3 nights, first 2 in the better front facing rooms, great balcony with gorgeous garden views. The place itself is lovely and quiet location wise amongst what look to be gorgeous, quite substantial Florence homes and attractions. The walk into town is a downhill brisk 30 min strut that we loved, even loved the much harder climb back... More

Very efficient receptions staff, multilingual family run hotel. Off Street Parking guaranteed to all guest. Very spacious rooms most have good views of the city. Breakfast is quite good and always enjoyable with some quirky moments which start the day with a bit of fun. (there were 6 of us) and we had great 'craic' with the staff much to... More

I have stayed at Villa Belvedere at least four times. It is frustrating because it approaches a 10:10 but fails in such simple ways. Good points: Just up the hill on the south side of town. A short cab ride from the old city - a 20 minute walk in a relatively straight line. The rooms with balconies have a... More

We arrived from Cinque Terre to the hotel in the afternoon. The room costs us 140 euros (breakfast included) plus 8 euros (cash only) city tax. It wasn't very hard to find. The free parking space was half empty so it was pretty easy for us. When we arrived, they couldn't quite find our hotel booking, so they put us... More
