Very nice hotel right next to Duomo with very friendly staff and ample breakfast included. Close enough to everything with nice size room and bathroom. Some people complain of Duomo bells, every hour even at night, but our room had double pane windows and double shutters so it didn't bother us.

We had a nice stay at Hotel Bigallo during mid June in Florence, but unfortunately our dates clashed with Fashion week in Florence which meant that our hotel rates doubled in price compared to end of May when a friend of ours stayed at this same hotel for half the price. The room was very comfortable and the hotel staff... More

Glad I went with everyone's recommendation on tripadvisor and booked my accommodation with this hotel. Walking distance from Central train station. Right next to Cathedral! And not to mention all other landmarks. Felt safe to walk around in the warm balmy summer evenings too. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was included and standard continental breakfast.

would recommend this place if only for its location, right in the thick of it all within a stone's throw of the duomo and within walking distance of everything. rooms weren't particularly beautiful, but they were nice enough and most importantly clean. it was cosy, comfortable and quite charming with a good ambience. the staff were welcoming, would highly recommend.

My wife and i stayed at this hotel for three nights during July 2014. We were returning to the hotel after 3 years and were glad that we did!! The room we stayed in was clean, nice and large and the air conditioning was good (does not work when you open the windows!!), the bathroom was large and well maintained.... More

Best location in Florence at budget price. Spent a heavenly 4 nights here in May. Great view of the Diourmo from the lounge and our bathroom. View across Renaissance terracotta tiled rooftops from the bedroom. Walking distance to absolutely everything. Great staff. Great ambience and decor. People whinge about the one person lift, but it usually works. Fabulous breakfast was... More

Stayed here for 5 nights, loved the hotel! Highly recommend this hotel to others. The room was beautiful, amazing views of the Dumo. Only thing that wasn't great was the bed was uncomfortable. Such a prime position to everything! Thank you!

We stayed here for 4 nights with our friends and initially our first impressions were not good as we had to climb to the 3rd floor of what looked like a very run down building. However once we arrived at the hotel our views changed completely. It does have a lift which we made use of a lot. Our room... More

Hotel Bigallo has an incredible location, beside the Duomo. If you are lucky enough to get a room with a view, you feel like you could touch this incredible building. When I arrived, the lift did not seem to work, so it did mean carting my suitcase up 7 flights of stairs after a long journey, so not best pleased... More

My dad and I stayed at this hotel at the beginning of June and we were so lucky to get a room with the Duomo view! The room had the bed on the upper floor which at the beginning was great and different from other hotels but later it got a bit inconvenient, going up and down wasn't great for... More
