The Hotel Bigallo is in the center of Florence. We asked for a room with a view and definitely got it. The large beautiful wood windows opened to the square in front of the Duomo and its gorgeous exterior. The stairs to the room are a hike every day, but you get used to it and are greeted by the... Sure, this little hotel is located on the corner of the Piazza del Duomo with amazing views of the Duomo and within walking distance of most of what you want to see in Florence but it's also very comfortable, with clean and large rooms. The smallish elevator may be a challenge if arriving or departing with large bags but it... More

The Duomo is almost right across the street and there is a great view of it from the lobby. Our room did not have a view, but was very pleasant. This hotel is pretty much local to anywhere in central Florence so we did not need a car for anything. The staff were helpful and pleasant and the breakfasts were... More

The morning of my trip, I got an email from Hotel Bigallo telling me there had been a storm and my room was no longer available. But not to worry, they'd just walk me over to one of their sister hotels. Of course, I was not happy and thought this was a bit of a scam. However, I was more... More

Recommended by a Work Colleague... Perfect for the 6 of Us - 2 x Teenage Kids & the In-Laws. Some comments: Hotel Reception is on 3rd Floor - Accessible by stairs or a tiny lift - so take this into consideration. If you don't like (or struggle with) stairs, or have a lot of luggage, you'll not be able to... More

Very nice hotel right next to Duomo with very friendly staff and ample breakfast included. Close enough to everything with nice size room and bathroom. Some people complain of Duomo bells, every hour even at night, but our room had double pane windows and double shutters so it didn't bother us.

We had a nice stay at Hotel Bigallo during mid June in Florence, but unfortunately our dates clashed with Fashion week in Florence which meant that our hotel rates doubled in price compared to end of May when a friend of ours stayed at this same hotel for half the price. The room was very comfortable and the hotel staff... More

Glad I went with everyone's recommendation on tripadvisor and booked my accommodation with this hotel. Walking distance from Central train station. Right next to Cathedral! And not to mention all other landmarks. Felt safe to walk around in the warm balmy summer evenings too. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was included and standard continental breakfast.

would recommend this place if only for its location, right in the thick of it all within a stone's throw of the duomo and within walking distance of everything. rooms weren't particularly beautiful, but they were nice enough and most importantly clean. it was cosy, comfortable and quite charming with a good ambience. the staff were welcoming, would highly recommend.

My wife and i stayed at this hotel for three nights during July 2014. We were returning to the hotel after 3 years and were glad that we did!! The room we stayed in was clean, nice and large and the air conditioning was good (does not work when you open the windows!!), the bathroom was large and well maintained.... More
