Got a great rate through the hotel´s own bebsite, but since I had an expiring coupon to hotels.com, booked though them. We received a somewhat cold reception when asking for a bab crib and were told it needed to be booked beforehand. Well, left bags and came back later only to find out that they managed to get the crib,... more

Hotel Bigallo is the perfect place to stay for a city break. It has to be one of the best locations in the city. It has clean rooms, the service is friendly - just a good family-run 3 star, no frills hotel. The access to it via an antiquated lift is interesting! more

I loved this hotel. I was traveling with my two daughters, we stayed in the hotel Bigallo for four nights. We had a beautiful view of the Duomo. It has a great location, everything is with in walking distance even the train station. The rooms were very clean, well decorated and large for a European hotel. The staff was very... more

I tend to visit Florence once a year and and on this visit, I wanted somewhere central and convenient for myself and, more importantly, my girlfriend's parents who came with us. In that respect, Hotel Bigallo is great. It is right opposite the Duomo and so you are about as central as you could be. That in itself causes a... more

First the Location is wonderful cause it is right in front of the Duomo (but make sure u take a room with a view to the Duomo, cause there are rooms that don't have a view) and close to every other attraction place, BUT, hence the sound of the Bells kept ringing in our ear, every hour all day, till... more

We had a great time in Florence and Hotel Bigallo was a perfect home base. Great room, felt like you could touch the Duomo from the window, very clean and an ideal location to explore Florence. We would most definitely stay here again. more

After a week at the Bigallo (our second stay there in a year) my husband and I are absolutely confirmed: to be ablo to use its facilities is a sheer joy. Professional and kind service, nice, clean and spacious rooms (and bathrooms!), free breakfast, excellent heating and air conditioning etc. All at reasonable prices. The situation close to the Dome... more

We stayed at the Hotel Bigallo on the recommendation of a friend, and were not disappointed. It was an easy walk from the train station, even with our luggage, and a great location (the windows opened up to a very close view of the Duomo). It was an easy walk to everything in Florence. The room was spacious and attractive,... more

I am surprised at some of the reviews--I did not think that the hotel was hard to find. When we arrived, we did have to take the elevator one person at a time (there were 3 of us) because the elevator was so small. I thought our room was very clean, the bathroom was spacious and looked as if it... more

I've read all the mixed reviews about this hotel, but I have to say that I had a pretty nice stay here. The room was somewhat small, but it was clean. The bathroom seemed to be newly remodeled and had marble floors. You can't beat the location. It's directly across from the Duomo and right off Calzaiuoli, one of the... more
