Quiet and cosy location in the cool surroundings of Florence, still one of the most attractive cities in Europe. Nice hosts. Size of the rooms and parking for the car okay. Tip: leave the car at the b&b and take the bus into town.

For a relaxing stay outside of Firenze, this place is perfect! Hosts were very sweet, welcoming, helpful. The room was a good size and we had a lovely view of the valley. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the quiet surroundings, with a picnic supper on the patio one evening (walked to town to catch a bus into Firenze... More

Situated a couple km's south of Florence and provides a base to explore Tuscany. A small, fabulous place, the rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. There is a lovely kitchen area for guests to make tea/coffee. Parking is secure and on site. Beautiful gardens and places to relax. superb breakfast made freshly everyday by Lisa. Loved it so much... Situated a couple if miles outside Florence, it provided a great way for us to use it as our Tuscan hub. From here we drive to Siena, on SS222, through the Chianti region and hopped on the public bus into Florence. Bus 36 - which was a 5-10 min walk away from La Torricella - brought us into downtown Florence.... More

We stayed at La Torricella for four nights while travelling around Tuscany. The B&B is run by a husband and wife team who are very friendly although they do speak limited English they will go out of their way to help you. The B&B is set back from the road behind an electronic gate that requires a key to access... More

When you first arrive you immediately notice how nice the property is. It also has a great view of the hills in Tuscany. The room we stayed in was a double room. It was a decent size and the bathroom was nice as well. The service was not out of the way friendly, but not bad as well. The breakfast... More

This is a wonderful, clean, family run hotel with friendly staff. Relax, enjoy a bottle of vino under a peacefull starlight Tuscan night sky and enhale the fragrance of a century old Wisteria. In the morning stroll 3 minutes to Gallozzo and take a short bus journey to Florence. Perfect.

My wife fell in love with La Torricella -- I had stayed there once before with our children about 2 years ago and was glad to see it was still the same warm and wonderful place it had been. Very caring staff/owners have done a eonderful job keeping this place up and caring for their customers. As indicated by my... More

La Torricella is a great place run by a great couple. The property is located on the outskirts of Florence and you will need to walk 10 minutes to a bus stop to catch a bus for a 30 minute bus ride to the city center. At night the route to the bus stop gets eerily deserted. But, for the... More
