We love this hotel. The staff are charming, and go out of their way to be helpful. The location is perfect, both for proximity to the train station, and all the major sights are within walking distance. Everything is extremely clean and the beds are very comfortable.

This was a little hotel located not far from the train station which made it very accessible. It is also located in walking distance of many of the attractions. The room was small and the bathrooms tiny but not a problem for a few days. The internet was not strong and we often had to stand by the door. The... More

It is quite close to the station. The stay was good as the room was comfortable and people were friendly. The negative sides are that, there is no lift even though hotel reception is in first floor. Take care of yourself for bulky luggage. It may be little hard to locate as there is no big sign board outside the... More

My husband and I recently stayed at Hotel Mario's. We absolutely loved it. The decor was very beautiful and charming. Our room even had stained glass windows! The staff were the friendliest out of all the places we stayed while traveling throughout Italy. The guys at the front desk were very helpful and seemed to enjoy conversing with the guests.... More

Hotel Mario's is well located a short walk from the central train station and many of the tourist sites. The staff is friendly, the air conditioning works well during the summer and the rooms are large. The breakfast is Spartan but good. The staff speak excellent English. The wifi is free and it is easy to connect throughout the hotel.... More

15 minutes from the train station - all the sites were within easy walking distance. We stayed 3 nites at the beginning on Nov. Interesting thing is the sign says they are on the first floor but it is actually the second floor - what is nice is that they help you with your luggage up the stairs and down... More

Great location if you like Florence. The hotel is small. The rooms are beyond tiny and if you want to use the toilet, the you have to hoist up your knees because the wall is like 2 inches from your legs. The shower is tiny too. I'm not sure how overweight Americans use it! I guess they don't bath for... More

Stayed in room 11 and it was great. Super easy to get to and from the hotel - Great hotel. Would recommend to anyone without question. It was a pleasure staying there. The breakfast was included and did not disappoint - the morning coffee was even better. Do yourself a favour and stay at Hotel Marios.

We stayed in Hotel Marios for 3 nights at the end of September. The hotel is very central and easy to reach the main sights. Upon arrival, we were given a map along with some useful tips on where to find everything. The hotel also kindly printed our vouchers we had booked for an excursion. Rooms were clean but small... Hotel Mario's is a great hotel. It was very easy to find, which was important to us since we were backpacking. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. And there's a nice restaurant, Nerone Trattoria, right down the street. If we ever went back to Florence, we would definitely stay... More

San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections.
