We stayed mid June after reading Trip Advisor reviews. We were able to leave our luggage after our stay while visiting Cinque Terre. We then came back and stayed another night. The first room at the back had a great view but unfortunately an issue with very noisy water pipes at night, one that couldn't be fixed on the weekend.... more

We stopped in for one night on our way to Rome. Room was large, and clean. Sure, road noise can be an issue, but really it is an issue in most hotels in Italy. The staff were pleasant, the breakfast excellent, and it was close to the train station, markets and sights. more

First evening was a disaster. We were given a room, very noisy (on the street side) and very heavily perfumed to overcome the fact it was a 'smoking room'. We were moved to a much quieter room with no fuss and were perfectly happy in our new quiet room. Breakfast was great, the staff very friendly and hospitable. We would... more

3 unforgetable days/nights in Florence at the end of June. Excellent location within walking distance to all of the main monuments. Great service with personable staff. The room has ample with a large window and a spectacular view of Santa María Novella. The bed very large and confortable. We had a basquet of fresh fruit upon arrival and a bottle... more

My friend and I did a lot of research on where to stay and finally settled on Palazzo Dal Borgo. It is such a great hotel! I would definitely go back and stay longer. The hotel staff was so nice and helpful. They upgraded our room, which had a wonderful view. The room had great air conditioning, a very nice... more

We stayed in room 18, which overlooked the patio off the bar, breakfast area. It was really lovely. The room was huge compared to European standards. It was very clean and the it was a treat to have a coffee/tea service in the room. It was nice to hear the clinking of the cups/utensils in the morning when I opened... more

The hotel is in an excellent location, easy walking distance from train station and near all sights of Florence. The staff were friendly and helpful. They all spoke perfect English. We stayed at the hotel twice as we went to Lucca for a few days and they happily allowed us to leave our large suitcase with them while we were away... more

Within easy walking distance of all interesting churches, museums and art stores. Helpful staff, charming building, spacious room (although the bathroom was a little cramped). Had an excellent breakfast every morning in the courtyard, smilingly served by Andrea (ask for his decorated cappucino!) We have been to Florence several times but would seriously consider going back to this hotel again. more

I was booking in last fortnight and was primarily looking for somewhere luxurious, good value and close to Santa Maria Novella Stazione. I loved this place! Charming and historically authentic yet all the mod cons.Actually had tea and coffee making,TV and bar fridge.Bed was a bit hard but I had an excellent night sleep. Breakfast was great with cup of... more

As stated, we booked this hotel through the Travelzoo promotion, which gave us rates of about 70 EURO per night. Apparently the hotel normally charges way more than that. I'm not so sure it's worth those normal prices, but it is a lovely hotel. Tucked away about six blocks from the Duomo, and about three blocks from the train station... more
