We are have a great stay so far. Convenient location! Easy access to central market and downtown. The breakfast isn't that great but we don't leave hungry. The staff is friendly and eager to help. The wifi isn't the greatest also but I'm sure they would work with you if you had any issues with it.

After coming from an ok stay in Rome, this place was a breath of fresh air. Friendly staff, quite rooms, location close to everything we wanted. Breakfast was modest but nice. Chocolate brownie cake was best item and the cafe latte was great (just ask the girl downstairs who will make fresh coffee for you). The only problem we had... More

Was set up by our travel agency but we were excited because it was a Rick Steves recommendation. He needs to re-review this hotel. First off the 3 front desk men were very accommodating. Room was nice and the breakfast was good. Had read a comment saying no protein but I seriously thought ham to be a protein. Really enjoyed... More

Very traditional hotel only five minutes away from the market and station. Service was brilliant and very attentive with perfect english. Breakfast was what you would expect for a small traditional hotel. Only downside was the air conditioning - went off during the night and needed staff to adjust for you. Other than that a perfect hotel for a short... More

Our experience with Hotel Galileo this past July 2014 was very pleasant. Stayed three days and did not encounter any of the problems identified in "recently" posted reviews! Rooms were clean, aircon worked well, housekeeping was done every day. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Hotel is on a busy street, but if you're in Florence for quietness you should... More

We stayed here for 2 nights recently and on first appearance the hotel was clean, tidy and a good location. It's close to the train station and only a 5 minute walk to a few attractions. The room was a decent size and the hotel had brochures of things to do. But it was the little things that bought it... More

Staff on front... More

Good-ish location. Just don't go up to the park 1/2 a block away. You'll come across seedy people taking pharmaceuticals and drinking. Reception: - The old Italian guy makes you feel like you should leave as soon as you enter. The Asian immigrant workers were much more hospitable though. Internet: - It's free witch is great. Can you use it... More

Room was very clean and good space. Cool and quiet in spite of busy and hot holiday season. Facilities very good and wifi best I have come across in hotels. Breakfast fresh and adequate. Staff very helpful and friendly. Best thing is how close to centre this hotel is. Close enough to return for a shoe change or rest before... More

Location central enough but seedy district. Very basic facilities in room although good size. Very basic breakfast with narrow range of food and not enough of it. Very slippery bath. More lodging house than serviced hotel.
