Convenient to the Santa Maria Novella train station (and the bus to the airport) in Florence- a a brisk 6 minute walk. We also walked to the major attractions in Florence - probably less than 20 minutes to the duomo, less than 30 to the Uffizi (hard to know when you get lost). This is not a luxury hotel but... more

Although this hotel is not fancy like big chain hotels, the rooms are clean and serve the purpose of having a place to stay that is convenient to the "big" sights in the historic district. The breakfast is typical European fare but good and they make great coffee. You could not find a nicer staff of employees. Owner Massimo and... more

It's a very good hotel, I mean it. It's not very big, but very cosy. Rooms are spacious and cleaned daily and there are all the necessary facilities, jacks that fit to different gadjets and a good air-conditioner. The hotel itself is situated in the historical center so that it took us only 10-15 minutes by walking to reach all... more

On arriving in Firenze by car we parked at the station and used the tourist hotel booking facility there. The Albion was the only place they could (somewhat grumpily) find for us, After a bizarre drive down many one-way streets we found the place and the signorina on the desk immediately made us feel most welcome. We were directed to... more

My family of 4 (myself, my wife and kids ages 10 and 7) plus my parents had a great time while at the Albion. First of all, Sara and Massimo's great service and cheeful disposition made it a great trip. Sara helped us getting reservations and tours for the Palazzo Vechio and Uffizi. Location is great, 5 minutes walking to... more

We stayed at the Albion based on a recommendation from our travel agent. As a number of reviewers have mentioned it's a quirky sort of a place with lots of "artefacts" to keep you amused. It's only a short walk from the station and about ten minutes into the centre of Florence. What makes this place special are Massimmo and... more

This was a lovely hotel to stay at in Florence, because of the warm welcome from Sara and her father, who also provided lots of useful information. If you don't mind stairs (great for burning off all that gelati) the rooms at the top are very spacious. If I'm lucky enough to return to Florence I will stay here again. more

Hotel Albion won't win any awards for its luxury, sophistication, or being the most salubrious hotel in Florence. But if awards were given for hospitality, generosity and kindness, the Hotel Albion would surely be right at the top. This small, family-run hotel is authentic, renaissance Florence. On the outside, the plaster on the walls is falling away. On the inside,... more

A nice hotel with friendly hosts - thanks Sara for the warm welcome. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to the train station which is also the bus terminal plus a bus stop across the street of the hotel and also only a 10 minute walk to so many wounderful places to see. Room was clean including the... more
