Morning staff was very helpful and accomodating, the hotel is small and intimate. The room was pretty. I was hoping for an extra blanket in the closet and the bed wasn't the most comfortable. Located in a more quiet part of town.

Add this to your list of places to stay. Breakfast was remember that there is a lift in the corner of the entrance way. (Not easy to see) The reception is on level 1 The welcome set the tone for the entire stay. We were welcomed by Marco (He has a brother Roberto who is just as welcoming) with a... More

We stayed three nights here in September 2014 and throughly enjoyed our stay. The hosts are gracious and helpful. The breakfast includes both hot and cold items. You can even have the host make you a cappuccino! Our room was spacious with everything we needed. We had a view out into the courtyard which made it nice and quiet. We... More

The hotel is brilliantly situated to visit Florence on foot so 5 star on that front. 5 stars too for the welcoming, friendly and ultra helpful staff. 2 stars for the room itself that is in need of renovating - high ceiling and decent sized bathroom would provide for a great makeover including new bathroom, bed/furniture and furnishings - shampoo/bathroom... Hotel Giglio is a great option when choosing a hotel in Florence. You're a close walk to the Duomo and all the main sights, along with several nearby piazzas and parks, but the neighborhood is quiet and not nearly as crawling with tourists as everywhere else in Florence. The entire staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful with everything from... More

We love this place. The service was excellent, rooms were very clean, and so close to everything. When we arrived, they provided us with refreshing juices and croissants. Breakfast is included, and they have Italian coffee or American. Highly recommend!

Inside of a historic building, this small family run hotel was a hidden treasure! We had a quad/family room for 2 adults and 2 teens and it was perfect! Marco and his family are unbelievably accommodating and knowledgable about their city. He recommended fantastic authentic restaurants and gave us great site seeing tips! The breakfast in the morning was very... More

Hotel Giglio is an oasis for 21 hours of every day. Situated 5 minutes from San Marco square and 15/20 from the Duomo, Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio it is ideally located. Upon entering the hotel you are aware that it is all set out on one floor. The staff are knowledgable and welcoming and even provided us with a welcome... More

It is a hotel located on the first floor of the building (as is the case in many hotels in Firenze or Roma), but it doesn't make it less comfortable at all. Rooms are big and ceilings are hiiigh! The bed was ok, not super comfortable, but nor uncomfortable. Breakfast had plenty of things, like sweets and yogourths, but was... More
