Inside of a historic building, this small family run hotel was a hidden treasure! We had a quad/family room for 2 adults and 2 teens and it was perfect! Marco and his family are unbelievably accommodating and knowledgable about their city. He recommended fantastic authentic restaurants and gave us great site seeing tips! The breakfast in the morning was very... More

Hotel Giglio is an oasis for 21 hours of every day. Situated 5 minutes from San Marco square and 15/20 from the Duomo, Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio it is ideally located. Upon entering the hotel you are aware that it is all set out on one floor. The staff are knowledgable and welcoming and even provided us with a welcome... More

It is a hotel located on the first floor of the building (as is the case in many hotels in Firenze or Roma), but it doesn't make it less comfortable at all. Rooms are big and ceilings are hiiigh! The bed was ok, not super comfortable, but nor uncomfortable. Breakfast had plenty of things, like sweets and yogourths, but was... More

When we first arrived we got a little scared by the front of the hotel, the elevator and stairs. But as soon as we were hosted we knew we have made a good choice! They were really welcoming and gave us full explanation about Florence, restaurants and GREAT tips about the local shopping and habits. The breakfast was also something!... More

This Hotel is just a short walk to the Duomo and heart of the city. The owners are so nice and work hard to make sure their guest are happy. The owner even drove us to the train station so we didn't have to get a taxi. The breakfast is divine and great way to start each day...all included and... More

We stayed in a triple room at the Hotel Giglio, and I believe it must be one of the small rooms referred to by other reviewers. It did feel a little claustrophobic. However, that is my only complaint. The owners of the hotel couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We found the breakfasts to be really outstanding, especially the... More

Enjoyed our time in Firenze up until an unfortunate accident broke my wife's ankle. Marco at Hotel Giglio was wonderful and helped us get through this setback with crutches and lots of help. Friendly, clean and nicely located. Would gladly stay here again
