We stayed in this hotel in Aug, 2014. The hotel location is excellent, rooms are clean. Very close practically to all the main attractions of Florence. Many good restaurants around. Five Minutes walk from Santa Maria Novella. Break fast is good, not many choices. The main problem of this hotel that it is very old and in a bad need... More

Great central location, close to city attractions and transport networks. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable but was in need of maintenance. The wifi did not work well, we had to sit out in a particular spot in the hallway for it to work adequately. Probably still good value for money.

Arriving by train we found it in about 10 minutes. Good size room, excellent bathroom comfortable Queen size bed. Staff very helpful advising of good restaurants near by and other attractions.Luckily we talked to them as we were not aware many museums did not open on Mondays. So late Sunday we managed to get in to see the statue of... More

I stayed in that hotel for one night during November. The location is perfect close to the train station (SMN) and the city center, also many restaurants and small bars are around. Hotel was clean, only the carpets could be changed since you could see some stains, but what is the most important for me you didn't fell the smell... More

I based this hotel on its location to the train station. Room was of large size as well as the bathroom. I was in the back of the building so WiFi not as strong, had to go down to lobby for stronger and steady connection. Enjoyed breakfast daily. Laundry/Dry Cleaning available at a cost or do it yourself just down... More

Great location. Near train station and close to the Duomo. Polite and helpful staff. Free internet. The hotel is a bit "tired" and needs some updating. We had to leave before the breakfast room was open, so no comments on that.

We recently stayed 2 nights at this hotel and whilst its location is very good for the railway station and only a few minutes walk from the centre of the city and whilst the staff were very polite, very helpful, sadly the room was in need of redecoration.

This hotel is family run, and a traditional Italian hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful with our stay in Florence! Breakfast was perfect for the start to the day (cold meats, yogurt, fruit, coffee, juice, and crossiants). Air conditioned and not paper thin walls! The hotel was right across the street from the train station (do not taxi it... More

7 days at the San Giorgio. A pleasant friendly hotel. Staff were very helpful and breakfast more than adequate. Rooms serviced daily with clean towels etc. Air conditioned throughout. Some commented old fashioned but I would describe as traditional. Not a fan of plastic cloned hotels. Near to station and 10 minutes from most of the main sites. Restaurants within... More
