If you understand the concept of patina, this is the place for you. An old, if not ancient, palace, converted into a charming hotel in the middle of Florence's upscale shopping district, with a bird's eye view of one of the most attractive piazze in the city. Sure the rooms and inventory could do with a little upgrade, but the... More

The Hotel Tornabuoni Beacci made my trip to Florence so comfortable. The staff was so welcoming and very helpful!! The location was fantastic and convenient to everything. The rooftop garden was beautiful and serene. I plan to use this hotel every time I visit Florence!!!

I'm not sure where to start, perhaps I will just start with 'bewildering disappointment' as the overall description. Firstly, I have never written a review like this, check my profile, as nothing has been this bad....ever! I'm a 4 star customer so I'm comparing against similar hotels in Italy, recognising the 4 star in Italy is very different to the... More

The location of the hotel make it the perfect place for your stay in Florence, easy access to all your needs & requirements when in Florence, if shopping all the luxury brands are at a walking distance, same goes for train station for a quick visit to Pize or going ahead with your tour.

An incredible location with top-notch service and one of the better breakfasts I had on my study abroad tour. The hotel itself is beautiful, right on one of the main streets and only a short stroll away from the cathedral.

We recently went to Florence to attend a wedding, so we decided to stay on a few days to visit this beautiful city. Unfortunately it was the height of the tourism season. In any event, we had a great stay in this hotel. Although much of the hotel has not been redecorated for years, this was compensated by old world... More

My wife and I spend 3 nights at the hotel. The room was small but clean and was more than adequate for our purposes. It is walking distance from the train station. The staff was very helpful in pointing us to restaurants and sights we might not have otherwise found. The rooftop patio is definitely a great place to sit... More

Small cute hotel, very close to everything you want to see in Florence. Excellent front desk service. Average breakfast same as most hotels in Italy. Our room was huge. Very safe area to walk at night.

Location is awesome- just on the main shopping street and close to all the sights. At night you can hear the street musicians singing Opera, playing the most amazing music etc. Rooms are reasonable size -we had a Quad for the four of us in suite style. The hotel itself used to be a 'noble family home/palace' and has great... More

Great location for upscale shopping. Centrally located and near historic sites. Good common areas with dining, cocktails and rooftop seating area. Friendly hardworking staff. We had to negotiate many stairs to get to our room after the elevator ride. Room was small and needed paint. Breakfast was included but just average. Breakfast staff was friendly and helpful. If you can... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
