The old Lady-Owner-Chef was famous Art-Doyenne Lord Acton's lover, and the Hotel was a gift to her. Her photo stands guard, the service is impeccable, the atmosphere stylish, the place is intimate, and classy. Great location, in the eye of the City, Ferragamo Museum across the Obelisk, Hermes down that noble Street, past all the other empty Luxury stores. The... More

The staff in this photogenic hotel are courteous and professional. This is a truly beautiful Florentine hotel in the main shopping area of Florence close to the Arno river and some of the best restaurants. This is the second time I have been lucky enough to stay in this charming hotel and I will return.

We could not have been happier with our hotel choice in the middle of Florence! It was quaint, convenient and perfect for our trip! The staff was wonderfully helpful and we will be back when we return!

I visited 3 times starting a week in late September, November 1-10, and then a few days around December 8. I loved the location right across from the Ferragamo store and directly down the street from one of the bridges. The staff is so accommodating and welcoming. It was like going home each time I visited. The bathroom of my... More

We stayed the the Tornabuoni this past summer, and we'd go back there in a minute. Fantastic location in Central Florence a half block from the Arno and a 5 minute walk from the Ponte Vecchio. Our room was decorated in Renaissance style, not huge, but perfect for two people. The hotel is quite lovely, service was great. and they... More

Stayed at this wonderful, central hotel in October with friends from student days! The hotel is walking distance from everywhere, though we cheated and took a taxi to San Miniato above Pizzale Michelangelo! We so enjoyed it. The hotel staff were so helpful and we were made to feel so at home. I would go back there anytime. It was... More

I stayed here in 2010 with my sister and returned in 2015 Nov with my husband. This is the loveliest hotel we have ever experienced. Check in was a little annoying, they refused early check in after a LONG flight from the states. OH well. We were in a room that was beautiful, room 508, but by the bar so... More

This is a most historical hotel set right in the heart of the shopping district. You cannot beat this location as it is within walking distance of most of the major sights. The rooms are all unique as no two rooms are identical. I would recommend the rooms facing away from the shopping street as it is quieter.

This hotel is utterly charming. I originally chose the hotel because the Italians were giving it great reviews on google. You get a real hotel key with tassle for your room (so don't lose it). We had a small window with a view of the city. The best part is the lovely buffet breakfast with an open air terrace above... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
