Great location for upscale shopping. Centrally located and near historic sites. Good common areas with dining, cocktails and rooftop seating area. Friendly hardworking staff. We had to negotiate many stairs to get to our room after the elevator ride. Room was small and needed paint. Breakfast was included but just average. Breakfast staff was friendly and helpful. If you can... More

This hotel is in a best location I can think of. Only 10 minute walk from the train station and next to everything you can think of. Hotel is lovely, staff very friendly and helpful, our room was very spacious and clean. Only negative I can think of is the elevators. Only two people can fit in and when you... More

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were musty, small and crammed. I traveled with some older folks and there are a lot of stairs that they had to navigate. The breakfast was just okay, not a lot of anything special (had to pay extra for scrambled eggs and bacon). Although it is in a good location, I... More

I selected this hotel largely on the basis of other reviews on this website and was not at all disappointed. We wanted a characterful hotel, centrally positioned and family friendly (we have 2 young children), which is exactly what we found in the Tornabuoni Beacci. The drive into Florence was tricky but we had organised valet parking through the hotel,... More

A Lovely hotel, beautifully decorated, although rather old. The staff were very helpful, and were instrumental in helping us retrieve a phone left behind on a taxi. Excellent location, good breakfast, and the free welcome drink on the terrace was a nice touch.

This hotel is a good, solid option when in Florence. Excellent location within easy walking distance to the train station and to all the key sites in the city. Hotel has a wonderful rooftop terrace that serves drinks and snacks. The breakfast was a typical European offering with plenty of choices. Our (quad) room was very spacious, almost like a... More

Ideally placed closed to the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio,it's perfect for getting around this amazing city. The staff have been incredibly helpful and nothing seems too much trouble. The bar and roof top area offer ariel views... Hotel Tornabuoni Beacci is housed in a historical building. We were fortunate to stay in a massive room with superb design. Very modern bathroom! Breakfast is in a large former ballroom. The smell of fresh pastry is intoxicating! One should also check out all floors for the sitting rooms! The roof-top terraces & bar are an experience in itself. The... More

Near the major shopping belt (Burberry, Ferragamo, Gucci, Prada and other major luxury brands are less than 5 mins away from the hotel) and major places of interest (Ponte Vicchio, Uffizi, Duomo are within 15mins away). Staff are generally friendly. Breakfast spread is limited. The furnitures and lightings just send us back to another period in time.

Very good location; all major sightseeing easily walkable from the hotel. Exit the door and you are steps away from the Arno River and a bridge. In general a very sophisticated and attractive hotel. Breakfast was great. Food though very expensive. Now for the dissapointing bit: We booked in February to arrive in July for a 4 nights stay. Requested... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
