I have stayed here for work related reasons and I found it ok. It is not a 5 start hotel, but it is clean, good breakfast, silent and superbly located at walking distance to the centre. It has a sad atmosphere of a run down building, wooden windows almost broken down, but overall as I say I recommend it. the... More

The hotel is in the first floor of an old building very close to Palazzo Pitti and not more than 10 min walk to the centre of Florence. Our room had a nice view to the garden. It was not a spacious one but it was clean and comfortable for our three nights stay. Breakfast was very good and enough.... More

This is the first poor review I have ever had to file and I hate having to do it! But this Hotel is in DESPERATE need of an up date. Mosquitoes in the bedroom, grubby voile curtains, light bulbs out, remote for air con removed daily (unless hidden). No replenishment of tea/coffee. No handles on wardrobe doors. Terrible shower fittings... More

I know this is very old but you will love this review. In 2001 I was living in Frankfurt and trained it to Florence for the first time to meet up with some friends from Adelaide, Australia. During the train trip I was robbed (just before the Verona station) of my cash, credit card, passport and any identification etc and... More

I travel all over the world for work and I have never really written a review before because so many of the reviews that people write about restaurants and hotels are, frankly, not to be trusted. However, I am compelled to write a review for the fantastic Hotel Annalena and the wonderful people who made me feel welcome and repeatedly... More

We stayed in a triple room at Hotel Annalena really enjoyed it. The rooms are huge and furnished with lots of large antique furniture and it really gives you a Renaissance feel. The staff is super helpful as well. They promised wifi however the room didn't detect any wifi signal, however there's a nice lobby area where you can go... More

Hotel is old but has a lot of charm. Really needs to be updated, new paint etc. the room was very clean and was within walking distance to everything. Nice little terrace with small table nd 2 chairs. You have to go up 2 big flights of stairs to get to the hotel level. No elevator but hotel staff carried... More

we visited Florence last week my last visit was as a student years ago was busy then but this time it was just mobbed with tourists of all nationalities. I don't really like corporate hotels with white walls and soulless rooms so decided to go for a traditional Italian Pensione and this was just that. A family run 20 room... More

Loved this hotel from the second we arrived. Location was ideal. Within walking distance of everything and very close to some wonderful artisan shops, 5 mins away from Palazzo Pitti & Boboli Gardens and great restaurants in the area. The building and hotel was everything we could have wished for an authentic Italian experience. Large rooms, antique furniture, lovely terrace... More
