This hotel has so much character, set inside a huge old manyor house complete with original artwork and a few sculptures you really feel like you're a part of the local florence way of life. Great location, very safe and very comfortable. Big thank you to Antonio and Marco, always willing to help! Ps. Just so you're clear this isn't... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here because of the European package we booked on budget travel. We arrived to the hotel realizing that the lobby was up about three flights of stairs in which we had to lug our luggage all the way up (no sign of any elevator or assistance anywhere... What do the elderly/handicap do in this situation?).... More

Unfortunately we booked through a package deal and did not have much say in our accommodations but were very realistic that wed be staying at budget hotels and were fine with that. We had an idea of what wed be dealing with after our stay in Paris and Venice yet this hotel almost made us leave. The room was extremely... More

I love the Annalena! I stayed for a week in 2008 and when I was returning to Florence for a month I decided to stay with the Annalena again and it was wonderful. My two main reasons for the repeat stay was the incredibly quiet rooms and the lovely helpful staff. It's also in one of my favorite neighborhoods of... More

We stayed at hotel Annalena during our recent visit to Florence. It is a old hotel with comfortable rooms. There is no lift though, so be ready to lug your baggage up one floor where the reception is located. The person at the reception is very friendly. Location of the hotel is central and in any case, Florence can be... More

Loved this hotel. My wife and I stayed here in June for a week. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. It's in a great, quiet location away from downtown but close enough to get anywhere in Florence by a short walk. Don't go expecting chain hotel luxury, but it was clean, comfortable and quiet. I read the complaints by other... More

This hotel is outstanding. You should seek it out on your next visit. Charming, surrounded by gardens, kind staff who went out of their way to help up in many ways. May say three star, but you'll feel like it's five star. Can't recommend this hotel enough. The owner went out of his way to make sure our stay there... More

This is a comfortable pennsione for people who love history, old charm, and personal relationships with the wonderful staff! This is our second time staying here- 5 nights last year & 8 nights this June- and we know the room we love: #9 (interesting, since the prior woman didn't like it...)! In June, there was no construction noise at all,... More

We chose this hotel mainly on the price but it exceeded our expectations given the highly affordable price! Friendly staff who were willing to dispense restaurant recommendations, book taxis and even iron a shirt (we had a wedding to attend) for free. The building has an enormous amount of old-world charm and may not be to everyone's liking, but as... More

I am a very fair person and look at everything with open eyes and open heart. Before I left the USA for my vacation I checked back on TA and saw these bad reviews. I immediately called my Travel Agent and wanted to change. They called their company who called the hotel and were ensured there was NO construction. I... More

We at the Annalena Pensione are as unhappy as you that your expectations were not realized on your recent visit. We did not, however, misrepresent our pensione or the construction work here. Annalena hotel takes up only a part of this building ,in the building there are also a number of other privately owned apartments. At the time we were... More
