Hotel is old but has a lot of charm. Really needs to be updated, new paint etc. the room was very clean and was within walking distance to everything. Nice little terrace with small table nd 2 chairs. You have to go up 2 big flights of stairs to get to the hotel level. No elevator but hotel staff carried... More

we visited Florence last week my last visit was as a student years ago was busy then but this time it was just mobbed with tourists of all nationalities. I don't really like corporate hotels with white walls and soulless rooms so decided to go for a traditional Italian Pensione and this was just that. A family run 20 room... More

Loved this hotel from the second we arrived. Location was ideal. Within walking distance of everything and very close to some wonderful artisan shops, 5 mins away from Palazzo Pitti & Boboli Gardens and great restaurants in the area. The building and hotel was everything we could have wished for an authentic Italian experience. Large rooms, antique furniture, lovely terrace... More

My mum and i were recommend this Hotel by a family friend and we expected a nice comfortable place to stay but what we got was much better. This charming hotel is a gem to stay at. The rooms and bath rooms are perfectly clean, the breakfast is very well stocked and the staff were so helpful and friendly. The... More

Just five minutes walk from the Pitti Palace and the Ponte Vecchio, this is a great place to stay, full of character and charm, and with very helpful and knowleldgeable staff. Don't be put off by the descriptions of the entrance. Once you get upstairs, you will be as blown away as we were. You find yourself, first of all,... More

Super helpful, professional and friendly staff. Clean room with a clean, if tiny, bathroom. I work in the city center and live 30 minutes away, so this was perfect for a place to stay after a weeknight party. It was like a mini-vacation.

We were booked into this lovely little hotel by my daughter as a surprise, so we had no idea what to expect. First impressions are not that great as you enter through some very imposing wooden doors and ascend a large stone staricase. On entering the reception, it gets a lot more homely and cheerful. The staff are delightful and... More

It's kind of sad to have to write this, I recognise the hotel Is in the older part of Florence but I really was disappointed. As we all know first impressions count, they really ought to smarten up the entrance ie the bit from walking through the doors off the street to the reception, it eas dirty, dusty and there... More

If you are looking for good value, wide comfy and clean rooms with original antique furniture and helpful and kind staff look no further. The hotel also has a nice garden open to the public. No elevator though, but a wide ancient looking marble stair which adds another original taste to the whole. Lovely.

I just spent 5 nights at Annalena, and I thought it was exrtaordinary. Yes, there are the steps. Yes, the entry has a somewhat haunted feel, and a scent that, not at all unpleasant, is one of age and history. The hotel itself is utterly charming- filled with art and antiques. Anyone who likes their hotels "rennovated" should stay at... More
