Stated here for one week for a vacation. In addition to all the nice things said in the previous reviews (being in a palazzo, very high ceilings, a bit of Tuscan flair, across the street from beautifil Boboli gardens (entrance fee - 10 euro, so just can't pop in there for an early morning run, Hyde Park it aint!) Negatives... more

I stayed in a single room which was very small. The hotel is somehow old. Breakfast is ok. People at the reception were nice. It is central and cheap compared to the average Florence accommodation. more

The Annalena is a gem, not quite in the very centre of Florence, but only 20 minutes walk from the station without luggage and five from the Ponte Vecchio. There are some steps to climb, (2 1/2 flights) but they are not steep and they are wide. Might be a problem for unfit or older people with heavy luggage though.... more

A lovely little hotel on the 2nd floor of a converted Palace, with some rooms with a balcony terrace overlooking lovely gardens (great from breakfast!) Walking - 3 mins to Pitti Palace & Boboli Gardens, 10 mins to Ponte Vechio and central old city Gorgeous staff, stay and memories! more

The hotel was beautiful, full of unique art, and in a great location. It's three minutes from the Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens, five minutes from Ponte Vecchio, and is very close to two bus lines. The hotel was quiet and had a great breakfast (included), but the best part by far was the staff. All staff members we were... more

The place was a little hard to find because it was on the second floor of a larger building up three flights of stairs, but overall it was a simple, nice and clean facility. There was not an elevator, so if you find it difficult to walk up three flights of stairs this is not the place for you. The... more

Paid 120 Euro for a double room. It is worth checking out the room before you commit to it, the first room showed to us (rm 14) was terrible, the washroom was just awful. Then the next room shown to us was entirely different and much better. The ceilings are high and arched and the furniture is old and gives... more

The hotel (actually is a "pensione") is close to Pitti Palace and the Boboli Gardens, but quite far from the old city (as far as "far" can mean in an old city, where you can walk the whole area in about 35-40 min :-)) A little bit unpleasent to reach, since the bus route (from the train station) is on... more

Hotel in old monastery with some simple frescoes. Quiet simple rooms to the garden, but no access for the guests. Good location near the Ponte Vecchio and kind service. Price acceptable (120 euro for a double room). more

This hotel/pension is in the old part of Florence inside the city walls on a narrow street opposite the Boboli Gardens and near the Pitti Palace of the Medici. A little further on is the Ponte Vecchio. We stayed here for 2 nights in May 2007 and the greatest shock was the flight of 25+ stone steps we had to... more
