My husband looked out the window of our room once we got settled and saw the store signs for Gucci, Prada, Armani ... and asked ... "How can we afford this hotel??" But it was 95 euros a night (about $140) since it was the off-season. The room was very large with a tall ceiling ... even an entryway. Tile... more

We stayed at La Residenza during the 3 nights in August we were in Florence. The rooms were ready on arrival and we were given a choice of rooms 3 or 4 on the 2nd Floor. We chose Room 3, I believe, which was facing the street. Room 4 was bigger but facing the courtyard, which I think might have... more

It seems that I spent 3 nights in the same room as Harrodsfan. All the features he describes match, but I did not find the bedroom claustrofobic, I liked the cracking of the steps that led down into the "sittingroom" and I thought the bathroom was adequate, with a shower that was larger than the very small shower I got... more

Wwere delighted from the moment the taxi pulled up in the fabulous posh shopping street - lots of fun people watching from here - then walked into the lovely old foyer to find an antique lift to carry us up to the reception. Recetion staff only too happy to assist us with our ridiculously large sporting bags (just come from... more

I will admit: I booked this hotel for three nights in May because I got a good rate. While the hotel did not turn out to be a sanctum of horrors, it was definitely on the ‘ho-hum’ side of things. The single room, though functional, was bare and rustic; the window lock was broken; the towels, though clean, had a... more

Recently stayed here for 5 nights. The hotel location is great for shopping in very expensive stores. My hotel room was the wierdest i have ever stayed in. A tiny claustrophobic room with a bed. Down rickety steps to a small "sitting room" with two chairs and an armoire. The armoire had a clothes rod that was very high and... more

Great boutique hotel, in via Tornabuoni, just next to all the top brand shops. Absolute great location... 5 minutes walk to Uffizzi, Ponte Vecchio, and Piazza Duomo. Hotel reception is on 2nd floor. Rooms nicely furnished. Did book a 2 rooms suite (suite nr: 19, on 3rd floor), for the price of 150Euro per night, breakfast included. Amazing !!! Hotel... more

I stayed at this hotel for 5 night and i enjoyed all the aspects of my staying here. Wonderful position (close to all the turistic obiectives and close to the shops of the great brands of fashion), the hospitality (l felt like at home and the staff was very kind and helpful in all the regards), furniture very nice but... more
