On our recent trip to Italy we stayed at Hotel La Residenza for 8 days. It was a very nice place to use as our "home base" to sightsee, take day trips and enjoy all that Italy has to offer. The room was very spacious, comfortable, clean and we felt very secure. The location was amazing because we were so... More

What an elegant place, for a reasonable rate and an immaculate room. Florence takes planning to secure tickets to major attractions, such as the Uffizi and Academia, and energy to climb the Campanile and Duomo, but it is worth the effort! The views, history, art, architecture and people are beyond compare. This hotel was walking distance to everything, but still... More

The hotel is at an excellent location, 6-7 minutes from train station and within 10 minutes from most of the major sites. We didn't have a car and had been walking to all sites from hotel and it's manageable. The hotel is situated on one of the most beautiful (posh) streets in Florence but as soon as you took the... As I sit in this room on my vacation I am disgusted by the fact that this room is hot smelly And worst of all so noisy that you can't get sleep Or hear yourself think if you tried. Ear plugs music TV nothing works To drown out the incredibly loud street noise People partying in the street traffic going... More

Quick one nighter in Firenze cheap and somewhat dated however some people like that sort of thing. Reception was helpful including a reservation at a fantastic restaurant for a fiorentina t bone. Room and bathroom tiny and only one pillow, shower is not built for the larger chap and point to note charging plug sockets are hard to find and... More

Best location in Firenze! Who wouldn't want Fendi next door and Prada outside their window! Not only was location amazing, the breakfast was exceptional for a hotel breakfast! Will stay here again on our next trip!

Very nice hotel close to the sights of Florence (actually wedged between various designer stores). The hotel has a working elevator (so you don't have to carry your heavy bags up and down stairs after you have been shopping :-) ), and breakfast is included. The breakfast includes croissants, yogurt, cereal, pastry, cheese, meat, coffee, etc., and was all very... More

We were advised to stay here by a local and we loved the location, but I'm sure our friend had not stayed there in years. Our room was OK but very dated and very noisy on the front of the building . Our room did not have enough plugs so we had to unplug the TV to have enough outlets... More

I choose this hotel after reading and filtering through hours of TA reviews. I was not disappointed. The charming elevator worked just fine and I had a GREAT room on the top floor. And it was HUGE, including the bathroom. I did not find anything shabby or in bad condition in this hotel. The only critique is the wifi was... More

I've just returned from a three night stay at the La Residenza, Florence. The hotel is located slap-bang in the middle of the up-market shopping area, with Prada located directly opposite. The hotel is accessed by an ancient elevator which we found to be out of order when we arrived. Once myself and my 72 yr old parents had carried... More
