Great place to stay in. Great location, near to the train station and the center of the city. Include breakfast and the room was spacious and super clean. The owners are very nice and one of them speaks Spanish. Great great hotel.

I stayed for four nights recently and really was impressed by this B&B. Hotel Nuova Italia is located on a quaint cobblestone street with few cars and lots of pedistrian traffic. The location is great, just a few minutes walk to the main sites, like the Duomo, Central Market, Ponte Vechia, and more. The hotel itself is very clean and... More

I'd stayed here for 3days and enjoyed great time in florence. The room was clean and quiet. The managers were kind, helped me out to enjoy this city efficiently. I would like to visit here again when I have a chance to come back flolence again.

The location is great you can walk from the hotel to anywhere you want to visit. The staffs are so nice! Cappuccino is great! The breakfast is good. I need hot water for my own thermos and she provides me hot water every day! The ceiling of the room is high!

I stayed at the hotel for five nights during November with my husband. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the bathroom was modern and bright and the staff were helpful and friendly. Located in a pretty traffic free street just a few minutes stroll from the station and bus station in one direction and a similar distance from the Duomo... More

Stayed 5 nights in Hotel Nuova Italia in mid Nov and love it for its central location. The hotel was chosen for its proximity to the congress hall for hubby's conference and at the same, close to the tourist sites for exploration with my young son. The central market is just round the corner and there are nice restaurants nearby.... More

This isn't a luxury hotel. Don't expect it to be. But for under $50 for a private room short notice in the city center of Florence, it was great. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Plenty of hot water, a TV, and a closet. Exactly what I needed! Amazing price. Very cute, friendly reception, central location. Would recommend. I... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
