The entire experience was wonderful.. The rooms were large and the beds comfortable. We liked the that the hotel was not like every other. The breakfast was delicious, and the hotel dining was an experience in itself. We highly recommend dining on the very top for the beautiful views and good food and wine.The staff is efficient and accommading.

Very nice hotel, good rooms! 93 steps but there is an small elevator. good breakfast espsescially when you have it in the roofterras. The location is perfect, in 100 meters to the "ponte vechio" and the rest is very close nearby. one point to improve is the wifi connection in the rooms and reception. outside on the roofterras it's good.... Scaletta means steps in Italian and there are lots of them in this old building leading you to all its nooks and crannies and adding to its charm (There is a lift as well). The location of this hotel couldn't be better. It is on the far side of the Ponte Veccio but it takes one minute to walk to it and cross to the center. We knew Hotel Scaletta was centrally located but had no idea how ideally located it is, one block one way is Ponte Vecchia and one block the other the Medici Summer Palace or Petit Palace. Hotel la Scaletta is located near the Ponte Vechio, so in the middle of the centre. It has a very authentic atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and helped us with good restaurants and trips outside Florence. Bathroom was a bit small.
