My wife and I came here for 4 nights. The staff were very welcoming and we were provided with a room of a decent size and good facilities. Only breakfast was available, but this was of good quality and perfectly adequate. I had stipulated on my booking request, a need for a bed without a bed end as I;m 6'4".... More

Ideal location, steps from the hectic pace of shops and sites, yet quiet and calm. Transformed from its medieval beginnings, this property has blended history with modern convenience: our room was spacious with 12 foot ceilings, canopied, super comfortable bed, nicely sized bathroom. (Water pressure so- so for the shower.) Lounge space on the third floor gives the feeling you... More

The location, just next to Ponte Vecchio, is ideal. The rooftop on the Torre may be the best panoramic view in the city and is perfect at sunset (85 stairs to climb). Apart from those 2 important points, our experience at Torre Guelfa was not totally satisfying: - the street can be noisy and if you are in room 208,... More

Stayed for 4 nights in February and it lived up to all our expectations. Large rooms and lots of character. It gave you an idea of what it would have been like to live in a very wealthy family home years ago. The Reading Room on the 3rd floor was a great place to relax after a day walking around... More

We stayed in this hotel last summer for eight nights. This was our second stay here. We stayed here because of the central location and the wonderful rooms and the great service. We stayed in room 315, which has a spacious private terrace with views over the roofs of Florence. And what a view it is! Looking out over the... More

Love this hotel - it's not the cheapest, but it's not bad value for saying it's in Florence and is a really great place to stay. It's located one minute from the Ponte Vecchio, one street back from the river, which is ideal for visiting most of the city's famous sights. What makes it really special is its tower, the... More

If you don't mind staying in a Medici-era mansion that has been converted into a fine hotel, with expansive views of Florence, that is close to everything, including restaurants, shopping, The Ponte Vecchio, and the Duomo, stay here. The friendly and professional staff, comfortable beds and immaculate rooms make this hotel a must when I return to Florence. I traveled... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights during our Honeymoon. It was one of our favorite hotels during our stay. We could not have asked for a better location! Located right near the Ponte Vecchio, we were in walking distance to everything we wanted to see. The front desk was more than helpful in answering all the questions... More

My husband and I received this stay as a gift for our wedding. It was one of the best hotels we stayed at in Italy. We loved watching the sunset on top of the hotel tower. There was so much history in this particular building, and they have kept the Medici era mansion feel to this hotel. We loved it!... More

We loved this hotel! Cocktail hour on the rooftop was the best part in my opinion. Free Breakfast was great, lots of choices of food! My only complaint was that it was supposed to go until 10:30 and both mornings they closed it down by 9:45 (hey, we were on vacation!) The hotel is in the perfect area. Super safe... More
