We stayed at the Torre Guelfa Hotel on September 10th for three nights, two rooms. The rate included a wonderful continental breakfast, wifi and a/c. We stayed on the third floor which is where you can also find the breakfast area, the living room and access to the outdoor rooftop area, which has an extraordinary view of Florence and the... More

We enjoyed the best room in the hotel. It was basically it's own building with a large terrace built on one of the roofs of the castle. A bit pricey, but worth it. The staff was excellent and charming. We enjoyed cocktails at the roof top bar. Wonderful view! The breakfast room is inviting and the food is good.

We stayed here as part of a Rick Steves tour. Everything everything everything about the hotel is top notch. You feel like you are staying in the home of a Renaissance Florentine (which you are!). The view from the roof top deck is not to be missed nor is the "living room" on the third floor. The staff at the... More

After multiple stays on Florence, we found our favorite in Torre Guelfa. One stay we were in room 15. AMAZING with a private rooftop terrace. The service is superior. Breakfast is outstanding. We started our stay here, hiked Tuscany seven day and returned to finish our stay. We left everything not needed for our hike at the hotel until our... More

We stayed in this hotel in 2012 on the recommendation of a travel agent. It was very well located and the staff seemed very interested in their guests and were very helpful. We had a standard room which was nice but average, but the windows looked out over the narrow street and one could step up and honestly feel like... More

Loved this hotel. We found everyone at the front desk to be extremely helpful and warm. Liked the way everything was decorated. Located off an alley and I had wondered if it would be hard to find or feel out of the way. No worries. We found it very easy to find and felt like an oasis. You are very,... More

This old palazzo is good value for its position close to the Uffizi and the Ponte Vecchio. The rooms are a good size for a city centre hotel and staff are helpful. Breakfast is varied and served in a pleasant room but the piece de resistance is the tallest privately owned tower in Florence topped by a tiny rooftop bar... More

The location is ideal, the building itself rich with character. Our room was an immense and comfortable suite with a 4-star bathroom, comfortable beds and nice sheets, and pretty yucky rugs throughout. The breakfast room is airy and lovely, the staff attentive. It also boasts a beautiful rooftop bar with amazing views. It's not a full bar, and it's not... More

We visited Florence on our Honemoon in May and this hotel made our stay very special. The room was very nice with the charm of the old Italian palace in which the hotel resides but with all the modern amenities you would need on your trip. The rooftop terrace gives you the best views of Florence that you will see... More

As this was part of our honeymoon trip, we opted for the best room in the hotel, located on the top floor, up a further flight of stairs, and with a huge private terrace. The room was large, ornate, with a four poster bed. The view from the terrace is over the rooftops of Florence, and you can see several... More
