I had stayed for 2 nights in another hotel in Florence that was owned by the same family that owns this hotel. I decided to stay another night in Florence, but the other hotel was booked, so they arranged for me to transfer to Torre Guelfa. It was arranged for me to check in at 11:30 am, but I was... More

We love this hotel. Romantic and historical with beautiful public areas and decor. Room 201- a junior suite -is large and quirky with odd extra spaces, a canopy bed and plenty of room for four of us. We love the old fashioned bath tub, but there is only a hand held shower with no hook to hang it overhead. The... More

Beautiful old fashioned hotel with large rooms and a medieval tower with a fantastic view over Firenze. The staff is wonderful and chatty and the hotel is located perfectly close to all the major sights: Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Vecchio, Duomo... We were very satisfied with our room which was quiet, had great space and a bathroom with tub. The tower... More

Amazingly fabulous location! We loved it, the air con is the best I've had on my whole Italy trip. Breakfast was pretty average but you're so close to everything, it doesn't really matter! I found the bed really comfortable too. I would stay here again, so I would recommend it. 12 euro from the train station.

The staff was amazing! Every person we encountered was friendly and helpful with our questions leading up to our stay as well as recommendations for restaurants etc. We got a Junior suite, room was wonderful, large bathroom and comfortable beds. The breakfast was amazing as well as the bar on top of the tower. The views are spectacular. Location is... More

I am a 62 year old disabled man who uses a mobility scooter to get around. My wife and I have recently spent 3 weeks driving from the UK to Italy visiting Piacenza, Spoleto, Assisi, Rome and Florence. I needed to find a hotel in Florence that was very central to all the attraction and could accommodate a disabled person... More

Amazing location, right by the Arno and the Ponte Vecchio. The hotel is in an ancient house with many rooms and a high tower with exceptional views. It's not a 5-star hotel but it's comfortable and calm and great value for the price. The real draw for me was the guys on reception though. Always ready to help out with... More

As we left the Torre Guefla, my college aged son mentioned that in all of our extensive travels, we had never utilized a front desk staff more than here. .. and he was right. They were all amazingly helpful and friendly. No request was too big or too small. Room was lovely with great air con and a comfortable bed.... More

This hotel was wonderful! The room was large and well-decorated (four poster beds, nice furniture), if just a little bit dark from the one small window. The staff were incredibly friendly. The hotel has a nice breakfast room space, a large "living room" with fancy couches on the 3rd floor, and of course the famous tower with the great Florence... More

Great location. Staff helpful finding dinner spots. Awesome view (one of best in Florence) from terrace at top of tower. "Deluxe double" room disappointing. Poor bed quality. Not enough furniture to put things on. Had to duck to keep from hitting my head when entering bathroom. The bar, which is just a guy serving drinks, is open only from 4-8.... More

Staying in Uffizi

Neighborhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
