Location fantastic, could not be more central but as Florence has lots of churches with bells ringing at very early hours (ie, 6am), depending where in the hotel your room is, you may be awake very early! We had expected continental breakfast but to be honest, in my view it wasn't a continental breakfast, really just muesli, white bread rolls... more
We stayed in this hotel in august and were very satisfied. The quality of services was decent , breakfast good and staff polite. The absolutly best about the hotel is its location. It´s in the very historic centre very close to every important place of interest. You can hit each direction and reach some notable monument. We can recommend it. more
My husband and I stayed at the Albergo Firenze for 2 nights in mid-June. We took the train up from Rome (about a 90-minute ride) at 6:30 a.m. because we had a Tuscan Cooking tour scheduled for 9:00a.m. We got to the train station and headed in the direction of the hotel. It was about a 15 minute walk, but... more
We stayed at this hotel in mid June with friends. The location was ideal for everything. Just opposite the hotel was a church which had three concerts in our nine night stay and was very enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and told us about different things that was happening in the city which we found very helpful. The room... more
My husband and I recently stayed with Albergo Firenze in May of 2008. We were pleasantly surprised. It was very clean, close to most of the attractions, and we had wonderful customer service. The continental breakfast was average. . .but in comparison to most Italian hotels and B&B's, you wont' find much better. One thing that was important to us... more
Great location, and i think that this will be the main reason for staying here. The room was small and the bathroom even smaller. The marble floor always seemed dirty and you really need a pair of slippers! The rooms were cleaned everyday but still the floor was dirty. Now let me get on to the beds. The worst beds... more
My husband and I loved the Albergo Firenze. The room was large and airy and very well kept. The staff was friendly and warm and very helpful. The location could not be beat and we found some incredible restaurants nearby (travellers looking for a great lunch deal: Trattoria Anita fixed lunch of 7 Euros for 2 courses could not be... more
We were well pleased with Albergo Firenze. The location was excellent, the rooms clean, and the staff courteous and helpful. The bathroom was quite large. The breakfast was fine. I would rate it the best bargain we found in Italy. My only complaint, and it happened elsewhere in Italy, was that the A/C cuts off in the middle of the... more
The location could not be more perfect. It is a clean hotel, very basic but that's all you need because you will be so close to everything. I really enjoyed having a bathtub after a long day of walking. The waitress at breakfast is a delight. She always had a big smile for us and that was very nice to... more
