The staff was nice. The room was clean. The grounds were lovely. The air conditioning hardly cooled down the room at all. The beds were not overly comfortable either. It was a little farther away from the center of town than I thought it would be, but we always had a cab within about 5 minutes of calling for one.

Good location to city centre. Only took us 20 minutes to walk to the centre. Caught the bus to Piazzale Michelangelo to see the stunning view of Florence. We had a car and it was easy to get parking in the side streets at no charge. We rented the apartment and had not enough coffee cups, no plug to do... More

I was in town for a congress and I managed to get a very good off-season deal on this quiet, charming little place which didn't feel like hotel but rather like renting a room from a house when the family is away. I could come and go as I pleased, hardly saw anybody else, still everything was very well taken... More

We stayed only one night here as we toured Italy but were totally delighted. Villa il Leone is really lovely. As a family group with 2 teen kids we had the apartment on the ground floor which has really comfortable beds a fab bathroom and the facilities should we have wanted to use them to cook for ourselves, (we didn't... We stayed here for 4 days and it was great experience staying at Villino il Leone. We felt like at home at this place. Room is incredible with a beatifull view in an amazin neighbourhood. The rooms are super clean and the beds are amazingly comfortable. The neighborhood is really nice and it is just 30 minutes walk from center... More

We went there a year ago and stayed for 6 nights. The room was absolutely nice and extremely clean. The front yard is beautiful but a little, very little noisy from the side road. We had a nice night with free wines there i remember... The location it was near the city and you can use bus for easier access... More

My girlfriend and myself along with another couple just spent two nights at the Villino Il Leone in Florence Italy and it was perfect. The Location of the B & B is just far enough out of town to escape the noise and hectic streets and its about a 30-40min walk into the heart of old florence (Its also a... More

The 1 bed room apartment we had came with 2 bathrooms which was a pleasant surprise. The owners spoke very good English and both were helpful with booking of restaurants/hotels during our stay. Wifi worked perfectly. Everything was neat here - our apartment, breakfast area etc. and there was notice on our kitchen counter top which said that we had... More

Villino il Leone is located in a place which although far from the historic center of Venice is pleasant, wooded and relatively quiet. The facilities are adequate and the breakfast honest. However, on days when we feel a little cold and the blankets provided were insufficient and heating was not triggered. The internal lighting nevertheless be economical type, were weak... More

This recently renovated ('rinovatissimo') b&b is in an old villa a ten minute walk south of the Porta Romana... which means that it's a good half hour hike to the center of town (consider taking the bus, which stops at the corner). The rooms are clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated with a more modern touch. Our bathroom was large and... More
