Tuscan hills spread below the windows of my bedroom, a swimming pool no one else used, and breakfast in a noble, sun-lit room -- these were a few of my favorite things! Interesting restaurants nearby, and dinner can also be arranged in the hotel. Le Piazzole is a great choice for those returning to Florence who do not like its... more

We stayed at Villa Le Piazzole for five nights and attended a wedding on the premises. This is a truly magical place and one of the most unique villas in Tuscany. It is a mere 8-10 minute cab ride to the center of Florence, yet it is a world away. The Villa produces its own olive oil and wines and... more

We came across this place fortuitously having left our unsatisfactory booked villa and looking for somewhere nice. One initial point of confusion - it's listed as Montartino in some guide books, but the sign at the entrance says Le Pizzaole. There's another entrance a few yards along the road signed Montartino, but if you ring the bell there you don't... more

Friendly service, very good facilities! A great wedding location. We loved it! It was absolutely the most beautiful place we've ever stayed. And the service was amazing. We only whish we could stayed longer. We had a wonderful time! Fantastic service, expecialliy enjoyed the breakfast each morning and the particulary comfortable beds. What a beautiful and magical place. Everything was... more

If we didn't have GPS in the car, we would have struggled to find the hotel. When we eventually managed to get to our villa, we discovered that the hotel was divided into two parts and that the villas that we were in were a 200m walk though mosquito infested long grass to the restaurant and reception. The villa itself... more

I stayed at the Stella apartment in the hotel with my familyfor two nights. We had the bedroom and the kids slept on the fold out couch. The views and the gardens from this hotel are so beautiful that you can't stop being amazed. Having pools to go to after a long day sightseeing is also wonderful. My kids loved... more

This is a small but exquisite bed & breakfast. The Villa is surrounded by a vineyard and is sited on the edge of a hill with lovely views over a valley. The rooms are magnificent - large, well decorated and very comfortable with period furniture. The hotel does not have a bar or evening restaurant - although there is a... more

My family & I stayed in the Boccaccio Apartment at Villa Montartino in May 2005 for a wedding. The apartments are a short walk through the vines/olive trees to the main hotel for breakfast. It has a fabulous location just a 10 minute taxi ride into the centre of Florence and has the best of both worlds. Close enough to... more

Villa Montartino is a magical place set in the hills above Florence. The facilities are comprised of two main lodging areas. We were in a large "apartment" decorated with beautiful frescoes. Our 11 year old son loved the fact that there were two swimming pools! Carlotta and Benedetta, two of the staff members, went out of their way to accomodate... more
