I have to give this hotel 5 stars. I booked 4 rooms for my family altogether as we were attending a wedding of the son of one of my lifelong friends. For a start, three of the rooms (they were all standard) had a separate kitchenette area with a table and four chairs, a cooker, basin and fridge. The bedrooms... More

Quite disappointed upon entering my room of this hotel and my feelings never changed. Rooms are very spartan and cold, lackluster furnishings. Hard bed, mushy pillows, scratchy sheets, no attention to detail on any of the room appointments whatsoever, very soiled/dirty looking tile floors, walls all scuffed and marked, baseboards covered in paint drippings. US standards, this room is a... More

Everything about Ricasoli was wonderful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was a it of noise, but there was a group of teenagers whose voices traveled pretty far. The location is okay.. a little far from the main area, but definitely in walking distance. The breakfasts were enjoyable, and the staff was extremely friendly. I would stay here again.

First, a few caveats. I am not, by nature, a nit-picker, but one can only get an impression of the whole by looking at the sum total of the parts. My remarks regarding the room are confined to the older building, the “Residence,” if you will. I did not see the inside of a “Hotel” room. We have just spent... More

We are a family of 3 and we stayed here for 5 nights in mid May 2014. Huge room, 2 separate bedrooms, living room and kitchenette with table. Tons of closet space. This was more like an apartment. Outdoor area at front of hotel was huge, spacious and private with lovely smelling flowers, arches and wrought iron tables and chairs... More

Enjoyed our short stay at ! The view of the city was stupendous. Red tiled roofs with Duomo and city in distance. Beds were okay, not great. Wifi internet was excellent, free and reached throughout the property. The only negatives were the abruptness of the staff upon check-in and the fact that keys had to be left at desk whenever... My wife and I stayed here when we visited the MotoGP race at the end of May. The hotel room we had was large and very pleasant but noisy on the Friday night as the Antica Trattoria da Tito over the road was full of Italian men enjoying a lock in until 2am. Apart from that we really enjoyed the... More

If you don't mind the loud bar just outside the rooms until 1 or 2 in the morning and can sleep through that, you should be fine. Not really worth the four star price. Although some of the staff is friendly, some seem they would like to be somewhere else.

I'm not sure why this is a 4 star hotel. It's a straight, down one road, 8 - 10 minute walk to St. Lorenzo Square, right in the heart of the Centre, so the location is very good. As it's north of the centre some people thought the walk to the river [and over] was too long, but I thought... More

1 night stay here with a lay over through to Venice, lucky was only 1 night. Staff at reception were ok however buffet breakfast staff were really blunt and un welcoming. Buffet meet Italian standard but not world class. Rooms were very ran down and due for a make over although large. Bed was also quiet hard which made for... More
