We had a wonderful week's stay at this charming hotel. The service was first class, the room and bathroom were spacious and immaculately clean. The best part, however was the sun-lit , beautifully appointed breakfast room with, again, perfect service. We would definitely go back when we return to Florence.

This charming boutique hotel is in a perfect location for experiencing Florence on foot. It is an inimate hotel with beautiful and comfortable old world rooms. I was travelling with my son and mother. The staff was friendly, considerate and professional. The breakfast room was beautiful and includes a patio area. Overall, this has been my favorite European hotel experience... More

The Hotel Orto de Medici was perfect for our weekend break in Florence. The hotel itself is very grand and well maintained for a three star hotel. The rooms were spotless and all the staff that we met were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is in an ideal location for exploring Florence: five minutes from the Galleria del Accademia... More

Orto De Medici Hotel is simple, clean, and a very central base for exploring Florence. At 100 USD per night in the off-season, the Orto De Medici was a great value for its location - less than a five minute walk to the Duomo. The bedroom was bit stark and the furnishings, while very clean, had certainly seen better days.... More

Dear Sir/Madam, We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and found your room to be spotlessly clean and the hotel to be in a strategic position near to all the attractions, but still in a quiet area. We are sorry you did not like the furnishings of your room. Actually we are going to renovate them. Most rooms... More

Very good value for money. Rooms are clean with elegant decor. Bathrooms have been recently renovated. Very nice breakfast room overlooking a terrace & lovely lounge area with international newspapers, books, tv etc. Location is good - away from noise of traffic & piazzas & yet only a short walk to the action. Local buses also in nearby piazza going... More

This hotel turned out to be a real gem. Around the corner from Michelangelo's David and close to the city centre and central markets. Staff were wonderful and our 11 year old son was treated like a Medici Prince. The breakfast room staff were wonderfully attentive and the breakfast room itself was beautiful. We woke each morning in winter to... More

This 31-room hotel has great historic charm. The service is wonderful, rooms very clean and spacious, and there's a wonderful breakfast room with outdoor patio. It is a convenient walk to the central train station, and to all the City's historic sites.

A comfortable hotel in the centre of Florence, near the principle tourist attractions. Service was excellent with staff always helpful and curteous, and an excellent breakfast. Tastefully refurbished.

Not exactly amazing. The communal spaces do not match the rooms (i.e. communal looks super modern vs. your room looking like grandma's). Lots of pastels, old and small television, old looking minibar, creaky wooden floors. My husband complained that the lighting for shaving was put in such a way that it made it extremely hard to shave (it blinded you... More
