Our family -my husband, me and 4 adult children stayed 3 nights in June, 2009. Excellent hotel, excellent location, excellent value, beautiful breakfast garden, beautiful/clean rooms. I would definitely recommend this hotel! Staff booked 2 tours for our family - morning walking tour of Florence and day trip to Siene, San Gimigano, and wine tasting in Tuscany (great tour -... more

High ceilings! Loved it! the bed was comfortable and the double was worth the extra money. A small tv in the room with just a few channels but, come on! You're in Italy, what are you watching tv for! The breakfast area was nice. Selection not extensive but good to start the day. The hotel is a bit tucked away... more

This hotel is absolutely beautiful!!. It is also a tremendous value compared to our hotel experiences in Cinque Terre and Rome. As soon as you enter the spacious and tastefully decorated lobby you can feel the quality of the experience you are about to enjoy! The hotel staff, from the director to the front desk staff to the wait staff... more

This beautiful and spotlessly clean hotel was a few minutes walk from everything and everywhere you would want to visit in Florence. We never needed to use any type public transportation to get anywhere. On the street there is a pharmacy, some restaurants, coffee-shops ect. As we were two women traveling alone so it was important for us to stay... more

What a wonderful place to stay in Florence. It was so close to the train station that we were able to walk to the hotel. The staff was extremely personable and helpful in assisting us with tourist information. Our balcony had a perfect view of the duomo and the surrounding countryside, even though the hotel is located in the heart... more

The hotel is in a great location and is kept very clean. On the whole a great stay however one of the reasons for choosing this hotel was the terrace on the first floor and it was only open from 6pm-8pm. Some websites also advertise a roof top bar and there is not one. more

great choice

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights during our honeymoon. We were in one of the new rooms - so new it still smelled of paint. Everything was lovely. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is very convenient to the train station and site seeing, but feels "tucked away". The... more

We stayed at the hotel for two nights as part of our honeymoon in Italy. We were informed on checking in that we were being upgraded to a new room in the hotel, which was wonderful - it looked like it had never been used. The room was large, modern, and worth more money than we paid! Breakfast on the... more

We have just got back after spending a week at this hotel for my boyfriend's 30th birthday. We too had the room with the large balcony and the views across the rooftops were exactly what we hoped for when booking. The hotel was spotless and the room was cleaned daily. As we'd travelled independently we asked the reception staff lots... more

We paid extra for a room with a balcony at this hotel since we had read about the beautiful views, but what a let down when we got there. When we arrived there was no porter to help with our bags, we struggled to get our luggage into the minute lift and up to the fourth floor. We arrived at... more
