This hotel is about a ten minute walk away from the train station, which is good, because the hotels start looking incrementally better the further from the train station you get! Ten minutes with a suitcase is about my limit, so this was great - and it's really close to the river for walks in the evening toward Ponte Vecchio.... more

Had a wonderflu week in florence with my girlfriend, and the De Rose Palace Hotel was just perfect for us. Very clean and tidy, wonderful florence style interiors and very friendly staff. I enjoyed five wonderful nights stay at de Rose Palace Hotel. The staff were most helpful, had my trips to the Galleries Booked for me in advance, avoiding very long queues. This hotel definitely needs a refurb. quite shabby. When we saw the room we asked to upgrade, we were told it was the best room in the hotel, we were shown 3 other rooms and they were even tattier.
