We had a very nice stay at this hotel. The staff was all very friendly and helpful, the room clean and the breakfast basic but nice. That said, the room was a bit stuffy as was the rest of the hotel. Something in the air was a bit off, and we left not feeling so great. The hotel is a... More

My husband and I just spent Valentine's Day weekend in Florence, which is quite a beautiful city! The De Rose Hotel is located on a quiet street, it's about a 10-15 minute walk away from the city center, Ponte Vecchio and the train station. The hotel itself is older, but our room was warmly decorated and spacious for my husband... More

The location is ok, but staff is not polite; also, breakfast is very poor. There is not fruit, just a croissant; and also cappuccino or coffee is not good at all. And rooms are old, they should renew the premises and rooms;I would not go back again.

We stayed in the De Rose Palace for 3 nights. This can't be a four star hotel. Its is old and dirty. Black mould in the bathroom is not very helpfull if you want to advertise your place as a FOUR star hotel. The room and especially the bathroom is very very smal. The AC did not work, the advertised... More

two couples from the USA stayed at this romantic hotel! It was close to the train station, just a short walk to the rent a cars, right next to the beautiful Arno river, and best of all just a block from all the shops, andSt Michaela square! The hotel was very clean and fairly quiet, with a welcoming staff! It's... More

Stayed here for five nights in early October. It is clearly an older hotel, but if we wanted a Holiday Inn we would have chosen one. The De Rose was clean; the room, bed, and bath were fine. The room opened onto a courtyard shared with another building where people actually lived and worked....interesting respite from being a tourist. The... More

While the location of this hotel is nice, the accommodations were not. We were originally booked at another hotel, but they had flooding so sent us here. It was hardly what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. Rude staff, dirty, no hot water in the shower, no way to control temp of the room, you have to return... More

Hotel is not the quality it claims. We had to argue to turn on the A/C. The management were grumpy and rude...and didn't wanted us to wait for the passport while they scan them. We almost thought that they were little shady and about to steal our passports. Rooms are tight and hallways were kept dark. Florence was a great... More

Whilst I appreciate that Italy's rating system is different from other Countries, I agree with some of the previous reviews, that this hotel is not worthy of a 4 star. We were greeted OK when we arrived and told immediately that there was a hotel tax that was expected, "in cash" at the end of the trip. We thought this... More

We booked a hotel a little our of the historical centre to save a bit of money. I must say we were very surprised with how close this hotel actually was. Within 5 minutes east you were really into the busy parts of Florence. 5 minutes west and you were into the park, which also has a public outdoor swimming... More
