The rooms are in a grand apartment, originally built in 1865 and now comfortably modernised. The bed was very comfortable and the facilities in the room were also very good. The breakfasts were excellent. The location is a quiet street only a few minutes walk from the city centre. Plenty of good restaurants not far away. The owners were very... More

What else to say about this wonderful place? Lovely, clean(spotless), quiet. Cinzia received us and explained all the nice places to visit. Everyday, Michel prepared the breakfast and helped us plan our day. We had the Karl Hillebrand room, facing the lovely garden, and with a spacious bathroom completely decorated in travertine; a nice combination of modern accent and beautiful... More

I recently returned from a father-daughter trip to Florence where my daughter was beginning her study abroad semester. Michel and Cinzia were welcoming and gracious hosts. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with smiles and respectful attention. Our room was beautiful with large windows overlooking a quiet residential street. The bathroom and shower were immaculate. I was originally... More

As the other reviews have stated, a great location, impeccable decor and the hosts Cinzia & Michel are simply lovely. It's small enough to be boutique, but their breakfast, attitude and cleanliness make it feel luxurious also. And the elevator makes for a unique entrance and exit! Will be staying there anytime we return to Florence - thanks again to... More

What can we say - this is the best place to stay in Florence! The hosts are lovely and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them and they will recommend some lovely local restaurants which were perfect (try Aquacotta, just around the corner and Trattoria Casalinga over the other side of town). We were there on honeymoon and... More

We had the pleasure of staying for two nights at 1865, where we were hosted in the most graceful way by Michel and Cinzia, the owners. This is a small hotel, decorated with great care and attention to detail and you will feel at home instantly. The owners take time for their guests and help you to make the most... More

Michel & Cinzia were extremely welcoming, gave us a choice of rooms in the beautifully restored hotel, and made sure we had everything we needed. 1865 is well located a short walk from the centre. The breakfast was incredible. We can’t fault this place and will be back for sure.

The location of the hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the Duomo, it's very easy to navigate from the hotel to all of the attractions. There are many restaurant options a block away. It's in a more quiet part of the city. It's located inside a building on the second floor. The owners Michel and Cinzia were amazing,... More

A beautiful boutique hotel - the owners are lovely & super helpful with recommendations for anything that you might need. The location is very convenient with excellent restaurants nearby & it's an easy walk to all of the landmarks in Florence. The neighborhood is nice & quiet, especially compared to some of the more crowded areas near the Duomo and... More
