Our hosts, Michel and Cinzia made us feel as if we were friends that had come to their home for a visit. Service was outstanding, rooms elegant, breakfast delicious , personalized dietary needs met. Beds are super comfortable, linens and fabrics in rooms are magnificent. Attention to details of comfort and beauty are obvious. The property is within easy walking... More

With help of the vintage elevator you walk into a warm and classy athmosphere... Michel&Cinzia have managed to make their place into a true gem which can give some five star hotels a run for their money. Their eye for detail and genuine hospitality is just wonderful. The neighboorhood is quiet, safe and not far from the city centre. It... More

The 1865 Residenza d'epoca has everything: great, convenient and quiet location close to all of the major city sights in Florence, outstanding personalized service, and modern, elegant accommodations of great style and comfort. The owners, Michel and Cinzia, are friendly, helpful and highly knowledgeable of local history and clearly genuinely enjoy sharing this great city with their guests. The location,... More

I can't speak too highly of this family run guesthouse. It felt as if we were staying with dear friends. Michel and Cinzia were welcoming and spent time with us explaining where to go in Florence. We had a stunning room with a beautiful view of a garden and a historic synagogue. There was a lounge area with a frescoed... More

This is quite simply a wonderful place ran by a wonderful couple. The location is excellent; appears to be a quiet residential area in the City but the sights of Florence are within easy walking distance. From the main railway station the taxi fare was less than 10 euros. The property is rather special with fresco ceilings and a rather... More

What a memorable experience. The location is terrific... close to everything but in a slightly quieter less touristy area so you can get some peace from the frenetic city center. The owners of the hotel are lovely and very eager to help in any way they can. The hotel in general is just adorable-- it has tons of charm. Our... More

It’s our first time to visit Florence and it’s a great choice to stay at 1865. It was a really pleasant stay of four nights thanks to Cinzia & Michele. They’re No. 1 for a good reason. Rooms – the first thing I must say is the beautiful room. I was very much attracted by the beautiful pictures on tripadvisor... More

We loved our stay here. A great listed hotel in a conveniently central location. But most appealing of all are the gracious and classy hosts Michel (Belgian) and his gorgeous Fiorentine wife Cinzia for whom being hotel hosts appears effortless and enjoyable. Cinzia spent half an hour with a map and a phone sorting trips and booking restaurants for our... More

though it only has 5 suites, you feels like you just landed in your own private villa in Florence. The ceiling frescos in each room are magnificent, high ceilings , comfortable beds and surprisingly quiet in the middle of high season in Florence!!!. Our hosts were what made it tho--charming, helpful and gracious, welcoming us into the sitting room with... More
