I had dinner one night and the food was tasty. Breakfast was pretty standard not really a lot of varieties. My room was facing the road side and on 2nd... More

I stayed at the NH Firenze Anglo American from August 2nd thru August 8th and I loved it. The hotel wasn't located in the city center which was perfect because it was quiet and allowed me to relax after my full days of tours. The breakfast was fantastic and I never had to wait for a table. The food selection... More

We stayed for 2 nights. There were 3 of us. The extra bed they gave us was perfect. The rooms are large and clean. Everyone who works there are very friendly and helpful. From the reception to the dinning room to house keeping. The location is great. Would recommend this hotel.

I was blown away from my stay in the NH Anglo American. I was expecting smaller and out-dated rooms from previous stays in other Italian hotels. Our room was HUGE with a beautiful view! The staff is super friendly and helpful and there is a beautiful outdoor terrace. I remember one night we were having a business meeting in the... More

The N H Firenze Anglo American Hotel is lovely. The reception area, dining room, bar and outside sitting area is impressive. We spent three night here and we're very happy with everything. The lovely outside sitting area does need a little renovating the decking is getting a little dangerous, the boards are lifting. But what a great place to have... More

Firstly, every staff member we encountered were just lovely and happy to help with anything and everything. The location is absolutely perfect to explore Florence. We were lucky enough to receive the only room with a view of the Duomo, which was room 321 - amazing if you are ok with stairs as room has two flights of stairs after... More

We stayed at Anglo American for three nights. The hotel maintains an overall high standard. The hotel is located on a quiet street and it doesn´t take too long to reach the main sights. The rooms are spacious and very nice. Service is excellent. We appreciated the breakfast to go the morning we left for an early flight. Breakfast was... More

I stayed here while on a recent business trip, hotel is lovely and the staff are all very nice. The hotel is an easy 10-15 minutes walk from the centre of town and close to the train and tram lines. Breakfast was chaos most mornings due to group tours all breakfasting together, so I collected my old and headed back... More

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
