Had a four night stay over Easter, and found the Hotel (a former convent) was a real delight. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff, who couldn't do enough for us, in particular the ever-amiable barman with his distinctive moustache and smile. Situated in a peaceful area, just a 10 minute walk from the Ponte Vecchio and Duomo. Our room was large,... More

Lovely hotel, comfortable, nicely decorated and furnished rooms. Fantastic barman who really enjoyed his job - very knowledgeable re cocktails, nothing too much trouble! About 15 minutes flat walk into the centre of Florence.

Have stayed 2 nights at NH Florence, it takes about 20 minutes walked to the old center, 30 minutes to Palazzo Pitti (cross the bridge Ponte Vecchio). Quite a walk if you spend an half day around the old center and return to hotel on feet. Try not too rush and take your time walk along the river, enjoy the... More

This hotel is a short way away from all the hustle and bustle of central Florence, about 10 min. by cab to the train station, in a quiet area with less traffic. The drawback is that there are less restaurants and stuff to do around the hotel. The lobby and public areas of the hotel were nicely decorated and pleasant... More

The hotel has a fine authentic century old lobby with stained glass windows. The location is a good 15 mins walk to Ponte Vecchia but it is an absolutely quiet neighbourhood. We were very pleased with our stay. Pros: Friendly staff especially Elisabeth Big airy bedrooms Quiet location Charming building Close to airport Cons: Breakfast adequate but nothing special. Nice hotel with a location close to the train station (~10 minute walk to S.M. Novella) and a beautiful 10 minute walk along the Arno river. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was great! There were a wide selection of meats and cheeses to choose from as well as breads and other breakfast items. We... More

Nice hotel with good location with easy Access to the old town. 5-10 min. walk from the old town and the Railway station (as soon as we found the best route). A good breakfast and nice staff. Not to good general availability for the bar, but otherwise ok.

An excellent Hotel great spacious rooms large beds Quality bathrooms. All the staff were friendly and very helpful.Breakfast buffet was very comprehensive. The toasting machine is the only thing that needs replacing, far too slow. Our only concern is the hotels location. As an older couple it is too far to walk into the attractions, then spend all day walking the city. However taxis are plentiful... More
