Clean & nice hotel with a helpful staff. The breakfast is good especially the chocolate crossiant. The location is near the station & post office. We have a great experience during the period we are here.

Great customer service. Great breakfast variety, personnel always seeking your full satisfaction. Great location, charming and spacious room accommodation, clean and quite. Good free Wi-Fi. I will rate it as an A++++.

A great hotel for a stay in Florence. The original building is quite old, but the hotel has a modern feel to it. It is situated away from the busy touristy part of Florence yet just a ten minute walk along the Arno to the Ponte Veccio. Generous public spaces to sit with high ceilings and a self-contained internal courtyard,... More

The rooms were spacious and felt even more so with the high ceiling. We had a large window to the street which we kept open when we were in the room. The breakfast was wonderful with fresh fruit, croissants, rolls, eggs, meats and cheeses, juices and a variety of coffees. The hotel was about a mile from the center of... More

We were very pleased with this hotel. Our room was spacious with a lovely high ceiling, a tall window overlooking the quiet street and very comfortable beds. The building is charming with many beautiful features. Everything was very clean and in very good condition. The breakfast was excellent, and the service was efficient. We liked the location away from the... More

We'd had a brilliant experience staying in another NH hotel before, so trusted NH Firenze Anglo American as our choice whilst visiting Florence. As a whole, I couldn't fault the hotel in any way- everything about it was of the highest standard; however, if it were not for the fantastic service provided for us by the hotel's barman Giampiero, I... Having stayed at the Anglo American during a tour of Italy with Trafalgar I can report the hotel was adequate for our short stay in Florence but reason for this review is to comment on a particular bar tender named GIANPIERO.We found his professionalism most refreshing and you would not find a more pleasant person. If you happen to read... More

My husband and I have recently spent 3 nights at this hotel. It is a charming building with great character. However, the staff at the front desk (except for a young blonde who is new to the job) are all very rude. It is very unpleasant that they make you feel as though you are disturbing their work if you... More

We stayed here for one night on our Trafalgar tour....thank goodness it was only 1 night, it looked beautiful. But only the foyer, the rooms were very disappointing, the air cooler didn't work, although it was on all night & making a noise we were told that it doesn't work at night, thankfully it was only about 25 degrees, I... Smartly distant from the touristy center, but still not too far from it, as still walking distance, the hotel is a good compromise for comfort/style while avoiding excessive rates. Attentive staff and comfortable rooms. Charm and style of an old establishment with its own personality (wooden floors, etc.) revamped to the NH modern standards. Close to the Arno river and...
