The Hotel is situated very close to the Arno River and about 5 mins walk to the train station. Its small, clean and very well run. The staff were very helpful and the 7 days we spent there were very worth it for the price we paid. I would return to The Argentina for sure.

It is located very close to the main attractions of the city, quite close to the train station and lots of eating joints nearby but the rooms and the décor is old, the internet is fine the staff helpful but then I had serious challenges with the air-conditioner and had to manage somehow for the 2 nights .. luckily the... Agreed this hotel is old and in need of some tender loving care, but it is clean. Disgusting and dirty it isn't. I'm not quite sure how anybody managed to pay 170 euros for a room, but some people have money to burn. This is a budget hotel in the middle of one of Europe's major artistic and cultural attractions.... More

I stayed at this hotel in May. The staff were friendly however our room was dire. The room was very big but very very dark and worn. There were scuff marks on the walls and the furniture was all scratched. The beds were ok, and clean. We stayed for 3 nights so wasnt too bad. I dont think I could... More

I traveled with several college students to this hotel, and it was a delightful stay. The rooms are simple, but very clean, and the breakfast was a nice addition to the stay. There is WiFi and the staff is very accommodating to needs of tourists! A ten minute walk to the historic area, and plenty of affordable restaurants in close... More

This hotel charged 170 euros for one night. At that price, I saw no reason to see the room first, before accepting as they were nearly full. The room was shabby but clean. There were two substantial holes in the floor! The doors on a grubby shower unit were imovable without a struggle. There were various dirty marks on the... More

I don't ask for much when it comes to hotel rooms. I completely understand that older European hotels lack some of the ammenities found elsewhere - that's perfectly okay. But this hotel left me crawling out of my skin! Where to begin? Well, for starters, the mattress was STAINED! Really stained! I'm actually pretty sure my matress was moldy. There... More

The staff were very helpful with information about getting around Florence. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with them. Will definitely stay again. The only problem a as their free wifi didn't work so hard no phone service during my time there. Staff made calls in Florence for me.

Even though the hall looked a bit run down, the room itself was refurbished and clean. Very large bathroom with new appliances. WiFi was free but only available in the main hall. Standard buffet breakfast, nothing special. Location is great, walking distance to all major sights. Would stay there again
