Well run, clean, good breakfast, good location. I can only think of two drawbacks. Street noise. Inescapable in most Italian cities, so it is with Florence. While they have triple pane windows, you still get some noise coming through on street fronted rooms. If your the kind of person looking for cool night air with open windows, the noise goes... More

Dear Mylze2go, thanks for your review. we are happy you appreciated the cleaning, location and our breakfast. Regarding two drabacks: 1) our hotel is located right in the city center, Via Cavour is the main Street to get to Duomo square . It's 70% pedestrian Street but30% is open to the traffic people who have to get hotels, people who... More

Location is great, breakfast is perfect to get you going, rooms are comfortable and charming. This was our second visit and it was just as wonderful the second time around. Julia and the rest of the staff are at incredibly helpful, make great suggestions, and as pleasant as can be! We wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Florence!

We just spent three nights in Florence at this hotel. We could not have been more pleased. It's just a ten minute walk to everything in town. The rooms are very large and comfortable for Europe. Breakfast was a very nice continental spread. What really sets this hotel apart was the service. Everyone there bent over backwards to help us.... More

We stayed for 8 nights and would have stayed longer if we could. The location is perfect, close to everything. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and answered any questions we had. We loved the breakfasts which was very plentiful and delicious. We booked a bike tour through the hotel and were so happy we did. Fillipo was great!... More

This is a lovely hotel with a wonderful location in the center of Florence. You are within walking distance of most major museums, churches, restaurants and shopping. Hotel is clean and well run. Staff is very helpful. Lovely breakfast each morning. We also enjoyed their little bistro for a bite to eat or a glass of wine. We truly enjoyed... More

We stayed two nights and loved this hotel. We were able to check in very early and the room was large with a view of the Duomo! Street noise was loud but when you closed the windows you couldn't hear a thing. Breakfast was what we expected, front desk attendants were friendly and helpful, and the location was great. The... We stayed in Florence for 3 nights end of March beginning of April. We had three rooms on a surprise Birthday trio for my wife. We were greeted very warmly and straight away went into their garden and enjoyed a glass of prosecco and some delicious Italian food in the warm spring sunshine. This is a charming city center hotel... More

Dear Stevie99, thanks very much for your review. we are very happy you had a enjoyable stay with us. I do remember you and your party, very nice and friendly people! This lovely hotel is a perfect destination in itself, and is ideally located within very easy walking distance from all the many legendary attractions in the beautiful city of Florence. Our room (no. 448) was in the hotel's 'superior' category and had a very comfortable bed, with linens changed every day. The room had plenty of space and nice views... More

My partner and I went to Italy in March 2014. We stayed in Milan, Venice and Florence. After looking at various reviews for hotels in each of the cities for Florence we decided on Il Guelfo Bianco. Boy were we glad we did! From the moment we arrived at the hotel (which is in a very safe area convenient to... More

Our recent stay at the Il Guelfo Bianco was a wonderful experience. The hotel is very well located. All the main Florence activities are within easy walking distance. The rooms were very quite and spacious. The shower was the largest we had in our 16 days in Italy! The hotel was very clean, which isn't always the case for older... More
