We have just returned from Florence after supporting our friend in the Marathon. The Hotel Corona was right up there with some of the best. Within walking distance of the train station, the main tourist area and extremely reasonable restaurants away from the main thoroughfare. Friendly, helpful staff - nothing too much trouble. A wide choice of things to eat... More

We stayed three nights in Florence at the Corona d'Italia. The major con was that internet was not free of charge - my bad for not knowing that before we booked it. These days, internet should really be a part of the hotel. Great location - close to train station, Duomo and major museums. Front desk staff helpful, but had... More

we stayed for 3 nights in this great hotel. excellent location, being a short walk from the station and the airport buses. also central to all the main sites, the market and the Duomo are a very short walk away. also many good value restaurants are close to the hotel, very attentive and polite staff, from the barmen, the reception... We had booked this hotel as part of a package through a travel agent (an unusual thing as always do it on-line directly) and stayed here for 4 nights. From the time we arrived to the time we left the hotel staff were attentive and very helpful. The rooms were clean the beds comfortable with laundry changed every day (not... More

We stayed 7 nights as a family end everything was perfect. The breakfast was lovely and excellent service . Very clean. The only negative thing was that you had to pay for internet access . Definitely we will stay again.

The location was convenient, but didn't enjoy walking through the market stalls to get anywhere. Our room was drab and not appealing in any way - a light was out in the 'foyer', but they did fix it after we reported it. The hair dryer was strange and weak. There were no washcloths. The room was clean enough, but the... More

In terms of the location it is great with San Lorenzo market and a ton of restaurants on the doorstep. The train and bus station is just across the road, a five minute walk. It is a place to spend a couple of nights but I wouldn't want to come here for a week long relaxing holiday. The rooms in... More

We stayed in Hotel Corona D'Italia in December last year. The staff were polite and friendly, the breakfast was perfect preparation for a full day of sightseeing. The hotel is located on a fairly busy street, but we couldn't tell because the sound proofing was so good. If you're a chilled out traveller that cares more about the exploring the... More

This was the second time we stayed at the Hotel Corona. The last 4 years ago. The staff here are especially helpful. We arrived without bag as TSA or some other entity mishandled/redirected/lost track of them. In any event the staff were especially help in directing us to a clothing store in Florence so we would have at least a... More

We stayed at the Hotel Corona D'Italia as part of a tour group. We entered the hotel from a tiny busy sidewalk into a tiny lobby area with standing room only. To me, the lobby was an immediate turn-off to the hotel. The rooms were nothing but average. The breakfast was okay, but nothing special. I asked a couple questions... More
