The hotel is situated just 600 metres from the Florence SMN railway station and is walking distance from most of the places one would like to visit. The rooms are really large and very very comfortable. The breakfast has a large spread and food is awesome. Most of the staff were very helpful and friendly. However, most hotels offer WIFI... More

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. We were welcomed by friendly courteous staff who couldn't do enough for us. They were able to answer any questions we had as well organise tickets for various excursions. Cannot wait to stay here again!

Three nights in Florence in this clean and comfortable hotel, perfectly sited to see the best of this beautiful city. Quiet despite busy surroundings, with very helpful staff. Good breakfasts, my only quibble is that free wifi would be a great addition.

Reasonable hotel, in a reasonable location - handy for the bus and train station. Unfortunately there is no outside space, and the bar area is very small, so this is really only a place to sleep. The guy behind the bar, who also appears as the waiter at breakfast, is excellent - very friendly and helpful. Given a choice, I... More

Wonderful Staff, always willing to lend a hand. All at front desk were kind and helpful. Location was great. Easy to get to. Rooms nice and clean. Didn't love paying for WIFI but really I don't care too much about that. Maybe a little more variety at breakfast but it was fine. Would definitely return!

The location is great, near the train station, the Mercato Centrale, and the leather goods market. So this hotel gets points for that. Our rate included breakfast which was actually pretty good. Mostly breads, cold cuts, and cereal. But it was enough to get us going in the morning. Now for the bad part, the rooms are in desperate need... More

Large room with good bathroom and very helpful staff. Very nice breakfast and good location near train station and the centre of town. However wifi is very very poor ... spoilt our visit as we needed to use it each day and so much time wasted waiting on basic screen refreshes. Completely different to our experiences in other hotels in... More

Five nights in a third floor room on our recent City break to Florence. The hotel is less than ten minutes on foot from the Railway station and within walking distance of all the cultural sites that lie north of the Arno in Florence e.g. Uffizi gallery, Galleria dell'Accademia (statue of David). Lots of good value restaurants within two minutes... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
