This hotel is only a 5-10 minute walk from the train station and Duomo and only a few more minutes to see David or the Uffizzi Gallery and it is right next door to the markets. The Corona has a large reception area and all the staff we encountered were extremely helpful and friendly - going out of their way... More

This hotel is ideally located about 5 minutes from Santa Maria Novella train station. We travelled from London Gatwick to Pisa and got a bus from the airport to Pisa Centrale station. From there we went to SMN. The train journey is about 80 minutes on a slow train then the bus about 10 minutes more. 8 Euros each way... More

Beautiful hotel close to all the major sites. Immerse yourself in italian style, with open windows and a cigarette, looking right over the famous market place or duomo. Excellent service and beautifully designed. Definitely staying here again!

The plus points-great location next to markets, restaurants and all the sights; some lovely staff, especially the bar man, who made us feel very comfortable and welcome. Minus points temperature in room impossible to control, so left window open and got bitten to bits, no plug in bath and took 48 hours to get one, terrible noise from construction right... More

Although this hotel is on the fringe of the Florence tourist map, it turns out that the parts of the city that you really want to go to are very close. It is very easy to find from train station and you can pretty much walk to any museum, church, attraction in a short time. There are numerous restaurants close... More

Let's start with the good. Location. You can walk to anything in fifteen minutes. Right beside the central market, with great food options. Laundry, bank, and supermarket across the street. Five minutes walk from ST Novella train station. Vendor market in the street right next to the hotel. Service. For us, top notch. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and... More

Just a short walk from the train station, the hotel is on a very busy street very near the indoor Central Market and the outdoor leather market and just a short walk to major attractions. The included breakfast was excellent, the best of our trip. Great cappuccino, fresh pastries, fruit, juice, cereal, bread, cheese, meat, eggs (hard boiled and frittata),... More

Stayed here last week for our 4th wedding anniversary. Booked direct with the hotel, which was seamless. When we arrived we were greeted by a kind porter who offered to carry our bags, and the staff front of house on reception were friendly and helpful. Check in was very swift and painless, everything explained and a map of the area... More

We have just returned from Florence after supporting our friend in the Marathon. The Hotel Corona was right up there with some of the best. Within walking distance of the train station, the main tourist area and extremely reasonable restaurants away from the main thoroughfare. Friendly, helpful staff - nothing too much trouble. A wide choice of things to eat... More

We stayed three nights in Florence at the Corona d'Italia. The major con was that internet was not free of charge - my bad for not knowing that before we booked it. These days, internet should really be a part of the hotel. Great location - close to train station, Duomo and major museums. Front desk staff helpful, but had... More
