We stayed at the Hotel Corona D'Italia as part of a tour group. We entered the hotel from a tiny busy sidewalk into a tiny lobby area with standing room only. To me, the lobby was an immediate turn-off to the hotel. The rooms were nothing but average. The breakfast was okay, but nothing special. I asked a couple questions... More

Although the location of this hotel is great, the rooms were terribly lit and had dark, dingy bed covers and color schemes. The bathroom was narrow and small, and badly designed. The receptionists were discourteous and some were downright rude when asked for instructions for internet. Internet is not included. We really were shocked by the terrible customer service.

This hotel is in the ideal place for seeing Florence, central and within walking distance of all the important sites. There was a warm welcome from the staff and nothing was too much trouble for them. Our stay was bed and breakfast, the rooms were well appointed and the breakfast had a good vaiety on offer

Excellent room, knowledgeable staff, near Duomo and open air marketplace. They serve a wonderful breakfast, including fruit, cheese, many assorted pastries, and the "best" cappuccino I have ever had. My room was spotless, as well as entire hotel. I am from America, and I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights. It is in an absolutely perfect location - just a few minutes walk from the train station, restaurants and bars on the doorstep, right next to the leather markets (which is fantastic for shopping), and just a stroll into the centre of Florence. The rooms were comfortable - nothing too flash, but... More

We were so lucky to find this little gem after staying at a"horror hotel" further up the street. The room was comfortable, a little dark but open the shutters and you have light, open the window and you have noise from the street so take your pick, reception staff very welcoming and helpful. The location fantastic being almost next door... More

We were amazed that in this day and age a hotel such as this is not offering free wifi. The hotel itself was well situated. I've read a few other reviews on here and it is all summed up quite nicely. Nothing wrong with this hotel apart from the fact that there is no free wifi access. Yes it has... More

A perfect location for walking around Florence. There is a street market selling all manner of leather goods outside the hotel and our room was directly above it. We were concerned the early morning noise of the stalls being set up would disturb us but it didn't at all. Not once in the whole week were we bothered by it,... More

We chose this hotel based on reviews about its location but frankly Florence is so small we could easily have stayed elsewhere and I would have preferred a hotel where the reception staff were more welcoming and I didn't feel an imposition. Rooms were clean but dark. Breakfast was good and on the first day we were welcomed by a... More

We spent three nights at Hotel Corona D'Italia as part of a package tour with Riviera Travel. The hotel is a typical 'no frills big city' one; small reception area and surrounded by busy streets. But what this did mean was that it was ideally placed right in the centre of Florence, just ten minutes from the "Doumo"... the main... More
