Nice, if slightly expensive hotel. Excellent breakfast buffet included. Decent free wifi. Comfortable beds. Incredible rooftop view with pool. 3 blocks from train station and walking distance to all the sights. Accommodating staff who helped with medical issue.

We did not actually stay at this hotel so I cannot comment on rooms etc, but made a reservation for aperitivo on the rooftop bar with apparant 360 views of Florence.please note,u cannot even get onto this terrace without a reservation. Upon arrival we were shown to our table & were somewhat underwhelmed by the view,I could see a tiny... More

I have to think the glowing reviews of this hotel are either fake or are coming from people who've never stayed at a decent hotel. Where do I start? We stayed here for four nights in July. The room was worn out and grimy, beat up furnishings, tiny bathroom, and the bed was uncomfortable. The air conditioning worked well, and... More

I booked this on Booking.com for my family with kids for 3 nights. This great hotel exceeded all expectations. We had a spacious suite facing the Duomo and piazza. We could walk everywhere and took the train from the station which is right near the hotel. Restaurants were close. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The rooftop pool area was... More

This is a very average city 4 star even though I got a very good deal booking direct The rooms are a bit tired and bathrooms have old and failing taps etc but the biggest problem are the beds. Old sprung mattresses that have seen better days and pillows that are two bits of hard foam - shut your eyes... More

We were traveling with an adult daughter and needed a room that could accommodate all three of us. Our travel agent booked us in the Grand Hotel Minerva, and we could not have been more pleased. The room had a double bed, and a sleep sofa that folded out into a single bed, and a curtain to separate the two.... More

We arrived as a family of five (3 teenage daughters) after 2 days in Venice. A very short walk from the train station with huge bags - no problem! I had emailed the staff for walking directions and they were EXACT. Specific landmarks helped. The hotel had a rooftop (small) pool with a slightly modern rooftop terrace bar which has... More

We only had dinner on the outdoor terrace there - did not stay at the hotel - but what an experience! Fantastic location - just opposite the facade of Santa Maria Novella church - , great and professional service, fantastic food - possibly the best Fiorentina T-bone steak I ever had in Florence. My daughters were impressed - but all... More

This was a lovely hotel for our stay in Florence. Our room very nice, clean, comfortable and quiet, a real winner among the hotels we visited in Italy. Staff was friendly and attentive, and very helpful when we ask questions about the area and how to get around. The location is perfect for walking to the many attractions in Florence,... More
