If you want a quiet romantic stay in Florence this probably isn't the place for you. I stayed here as part of a large tour group of 51 people and there were 3 other tour groups as well. Hotel is located on river, I had I think room 211 which was located on the second floor and looked out towards... More

Stayed here as part of a tour group and while my room was ok,clean but old and tired looking,10 of our group had to change rooms as carpets were wet, aircon didn't work and a whole host of other complaints. Quite a few of us suffered from 'mossie bites'....we chose to think it was mossies and nothing any more sinister! The... More

As we were driving to Florence, our tour director (we were traveling with Trafalgar), told us there was a last minute hotel change and we were now staying at the Mediterraneo. She did not make it sound as great as our original hotel (Cosmopolitan), but assured us that the location was much closer to all the city attractions. I was... More

We stayed at this hotel in August 2014. The lobby area of the hotel is quite nice and the bar area serves good drinks and a delicious bolognaise. The breakfast buffet was fantastic! Cheese, pastries, meats, fruit, cereals, hot food and even a gluten free range. The rooms are basic yet very clean. It is well situated, a fifteen minute... More

My daughter and I spent 2 nights here while on a tour through Italy. Rooms were very nice and updated. Beds were small but comfortable. Bathroom was very modern with quite a tiny shower. Breakfast was included and was a bit unorganized and always running out of food but was fairly good. Great mocchaccinos!! Not sure of the district as... More

Let me preface this review: The hotel room was booked through tour company so I did not have a choice is selecting the hotel. I stayed with my mom and a friend in a triple room. Our triple room was located on the second floor right smack next to conference rooms. I have never seen hotel rooms not located on... More

We are actually still in the hotel and checking out on the 11th. Very unfriendly front desk, no introduction on hotel area and breakfast. Poor room and bathroom accessories. No room service for such a big hotel. Rooms very noisy from other guests and housekeeping vacuuming rooms at 15min past midnight. Really worried about the breakfast tomorrow. For the price... More

We stayed here two nights as part of a tour we took from Rome to Venice. It’s a perfectly fine hotel, with an accommodating staff. Breakfast was typical. However, the bathroom was minuscule, even by European standards. The shower stall was barely bigger than you are, so it was impossible to so much as raise an arm without knocking against... More

This hotel is much used by tour Groups and is a 15 minute walk to the centre. Very pleasant and helpful staff who know all the good restaurants. Excellent a/c in the bedrooms. Unfortunately room 327 is next to a "technical area room" and noises at 5am due to a generator or water system was not welcome. After a complaint... More

Stayed 2 nights in 23 September with a tour group organised by Globus. I would not recommend this hotel. One of the two lifts in main foyer not working which made getting group to rooms on check in difficult. Our room was small and poorly lit and depressing, had no toiletries except 2 small pieces of soap, soft plastic drinking... More
