We stayed there for a week in July. I was already in Florence and wanted to set up the perfect experience for my mom and sister once they arrived. The staff at the Front Desk was incredibly helpful and helped me set up their room with wine, snacks, and Italian novelties. The bar staff is incredibly friendly and well trained.... More

On arrival our room was set up for a single occupancy despite two people checking in! The Hotel is new and in sparkling condition but, to maintain or even allude to a four star rating, the smallest of details have to be adhered to. The housekeeping was patchy at best. Constant reminders to replenish items is not acceptable. You should... More

On arrival we had been upgraded from a Deluxe Room to a Mini Suite, It was all beautiful from the reception foyer with a bar and comfortable seating area's to the room itself. We stayed for 3 nights and loved it there. The room itself actually 3 rooms a spacious bedroom with enormous bed, lovely furnishings, free mini bar restocked... More

Fabulous hotel. Excellent friendly staff. Free mini bar but do not expect coffee or milk to be replaced unless you ask. Three requests in a row is just not acceptable. Shower gel not replaced. Turndown service with chocolates on first evening. Such a nice touch hit after that the cushions were not replaced so nothing to turn down really. Chocolates... More

This is an outstanding hotel. If you staying in Florence and this hotel is in you price range you would be hard pressed to find better. The hotel was extremely new (~3ish months) and hence the rooms are all very modern, huge TVs, cool art styling and a blue light shower (the necessities in life). The location is ideal and... More

Hard to fault this hotel, everything is new and working perfectly. The bed was great, the free mini bar was a fantastic touch, as well as the chocolates left on our pillow at night. Have a good alarm clock because when the curtains are closed absolutely no light gets in to wake you up earlier than you want! The rain... More

Hotel Spadai was very easy to find, just about 10 a 15 minutes away from the SMN station. Just walk to the Duomo and you'll find Hotel Spadai in a corner of one of the streets with shops like Eataly and Sephora..just 50 meters between the hotel and Duomo! The triple room was great, it looked exactly like the pictures,... More

The Hotel Spadai is not only located in the absolute heart of Florence, it also provides a level of service and comfort that I have rarely seen at double the price. The staff were exceptional, spoke perfect English, and always made sure to provide little touches to make the experience even better. For example, every night we could count on... More

This hotel is absolutely awesome! The location is excellent, the staff is amazing, extremely friendly and helpful, the room was the most beautiful I've ever stayed! The hotel is pretty new, it opened its doors in May 15. We are traveling by whole Italy and it was the best hotel we stayed! Don't think twice, stay on spadai hotel!

This is a new hotel, and is really really well built. Very modern, chic hotel. Located right next to the duomo and walking distance from the rail station and most of the tourist spots. The taxi ride from the train station to the hotel cost 8 euros and that includes 3 euros for luggage. We reached the hotel early morning... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
