We spent two nights in the Hotel Spadai and recommend it to everyone. It was excellent in every way. Our room was large, very comfortable, well equipped and the bathroom had a wonderful rainforest shower and bidet. Even the toiletries were of excellent quality. The air conditioning was a gift in very warm weather. Breakfast was €14 per person per... More

Hotel Spadai is a beautiful hotel in the middle of the sites. There was a very nice breakfast although we didn't realize there was one until the last day. The staff was courteous and friendly. The Internet worked perfectly. This hotel is modern and clean, clean, clean!!

This hotel was the best hotel of my Europe trip! The hotel is new and the decor is just amazing. Free breakfast (amazing selection and dining room) and free mini bar restocked every day! On top of that, they offered us free wine at the bar on our first night. We had amazing service and had an absolutely relaxing time... More

Stayed three nights in a Deluxe room in June. Room was exactly like the photos on the website. Being recently opened, everything looked brand new and clean. Location was fantastic, so close to the Duomo and other attractions in Florence. Room overlooked the pedestrian street below but was completely quiet. Breakfast was lovely with a decent selection of food and... More

In June, my husband and I were looking to relax and take in the sights in Florence before heading to a conference near Lucca. We had a car and had to pay over 30 Euro/day for parking. Because the hotel sits on a pedestrian walkway, getting the car parked temporarily and our luggage out of the car and to the... More

We stayed for 4 nights in early July and could not have been more pleased with the hotel and our rooms. The rooms were beautiful and spotless, the free mini bar was a great touch, and the beds were amazingly comfortable with high quality linen. Breakfast was extensive and lovely every morning, and staff in the breakfast room were really... More

This was by far the best hotel we stayed at in Italy (among 5 we stayed at) very kind and friendly staff from the front desk, bar, and breakfast. Duomo is the next block over, Uffizi museum only 10 minutes on foot. Very unique relaxing theme in the rooms loved the comfortable bed and jacuzzi. Great views of the city... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in july 2015, The rooms were all refurbished and are a decent size for Europe. The mini bar being complimentary was an added bonus during our stay. The breakfast each morning was very good including cappuccino and latte. The staff was very helpful with maps and recommendations including helping... More

This was our first time in Florence and we decided to book this hotel as a special treat for me and my two adult sons. We had two rooms, one single and one twin-bed room. The twin was on the 4th floor and had a beautiful view over the rooftops. However, I was a little disappointed in the single room... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
