Great room - you have more than you can expect there - walk in shower and jacuzzi, very large flat screen TV, FREE minibar! VERY helpful and VERY friendly staff. Great location! As soon as you walk in you get the impression of luxury, and the hotel still feels brand new. Our suite had a very comfortable bed, big flatscreen, and a luxurious marble bathroom. Nice hotel bar, and the breakfast selection has something for everyone. Great location relative to the city sites. The staff was very helpful in providing directions and... More

What an amazing hotel that made our trip Fantastico!! It was everything we expected based on prior reviews and more. Tired from our commute, we were greeted by a hospitable staff at the reception desk, upgraded our room without asking, to a junior suite and then gave us free prosecco! The breakfast in morning was spectacular. Make sure you visit... More

I can't speak highly enough of the Hotel Spadai and it was easily the best hotel on my trip to Italy and on par with the very best hotels in which I've stayed. It started with our arrival. I had a car but had no idea where to park. We pulled up next to the hotel, my travel companion went... More

We were a little concerned about this hotel as it is only 100m from the Duomo, and we figured it wouldn't be all that. We were greeted by friendly and courteous staff and they upgraded us free of charge, and even tried to upgrade us again. Our room was small by U.S. standards but big enough. The Bathroom was nice... Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
