This was by far the best hotel we stayed at in Italy (among 5 we stayed at) very kind and friendly staff from the front desk, bar, and breakfast. Duomo is the next block over, Uffizi museum only 10 minutes on foot. Very unique relaxing theme in the rooms loved the comfortable bed and jacuzzi. Great views of the city... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in july 2015, The rooms were all refurbished and are a decent size for Europe. The mini bar being complimentary was an added bonus during our stay. The breakfast each morning was very good including cappuccino and latte. The staff was very helpful with maps and recommendations including helping... More

This was our first time in Florence and we decided to book this hotel as a special treat for me and my two adult sons. We had two rooms, one single and one twin-bed room. The twin was on the 4th floor and had a beautiful view over the rooftops. However, I was a little disappointed in the single room... More

A slightly shaky start as our room was not ready for over an hour after check in time. I was travelling with my mother who is over 70 and was by this point very warm and tired. However they more than made up for it by upgrading us to a delux room and a free glass of very good prosecco... More

A beautiful hotel which still seemed new when we stayed in July 2015. We stayed in a standard double room and found it very nice. Big bathroom (tub w/a shower nozzle only, no stand up shower), comfortable bed, large smart TV & great view. The air conditioning was very strong which was so key since it was HOT while we... More

The hotel corresponds to the tariff rate and for the ones staying in the city while moving and riding in Toscana it's worth. A bit of luxury. The breakfast is excellent, with a great variety of food. The staff is helpful and nice. Sabrina at the reception is outstanding, very efficient and helpful. The only thing that called my attention... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel Spadai for 2 nights, we wish it was for longer! The newly refurbished rooms were stunning with a fabulous rainfall shower. Our room did not have a view but being so close to the duomo it didn't matter! The staff were very welcoming even though we checked in late after a delayed flight.... More

Modern, clean cut, and with all the essentials one could need. I'd definitely recommend this because: 1- Centrally located: a stone's throw away from the Duomo and a short walk from the Academia. 2- Very clean and new, with luxurious bathrooms and creative touches throughout the hotel. 3- Design and theme of the hotel was very relaxing The only drawback... Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
