Our first trip to Florence was a great experience as we booked great accommodation at this B&B. Ricardo the owner was a wonderful host, making us a beautiful breakfast each morning, very interesting man full of information and interesting stories, nothing was too much trouble, the rooms were very spacious and clean and a fantastic location right near the ponte vecchio... The best breakfast I have ever had at an Italian hotel (which includes 4* and 5* hotels in Rome and Amalfi) Riccardo amazingly friendly and helpful, great stories and lovely to chat to. The girl who covers his days off is lovely as well. The location is superb, about 100 yards from Ponte Vecchio, great restaurants on the Via San... More

Assuming you are reading this review because you are looking for well-priced accommodation in an excellent location in Florence then you are looking in the right place. The La Gradiva is a small guest-house where there is a chance to sample Italian hospitality in a location that is ideally placed to explore the city. It is just a few paces... More

it is a newly furnished apartment in the center of florence, just at the end of the Ponte Vecchio. it took us about half an hour to find it since the numbers of the roads are quite tricky. the room is quite big, and very modernly furnished and artistically decorated. the bed is very comfortable. very very clean! the owner... I was the first to arrive of our little girl group- and I was greeted by the B&B owner Riccardo at the entrance of the gallery. Riccardo arranged our taxi service, prepared amazing coffee and breakfast each morning and made sure we had anything we needed during our stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, bathrooms are modern and... More

Nice B&B in a (I wood say) perfect location to visit Firenze on foot, also during the night, close to restaurants and facilities. The house is nice and the room/bathroom is clean. Breakfast is with fresh made croissants, milk/coffee/tea/juice (not salty). I would suggest it for short stays, as you don't have the room cleaning service or change for towels/sheet... More

Spent two nights at this B & B and would definitely recommend it. Location was fantastic, although a little difficult to find initially. Ricardo was very accommodating, provided an excellent breakfast, his recommendations for dinner were perfect. Room was comfortable and clean, bathroom was good sized. Nice change from the hotels and wonderful personalized service.

We stayed here for only one night, however, the rooms were amazing as was the owner/manager. Terrific location, very good rates, very clean rooms, just lovely! We will stay there again when we are next in Florence!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at B&B La Gradiva. Ricardo was an excellent host. Every morning he would bring the most amazing pastries and meats and cheeses. By far the best breakfast we had at the several b&bs we stayed during our 3 weeks in Italy. The rooms and bathrooms are all very new/recently renovated and the location was wonderful.... More

I highly recommend B&B La Gradiva if you are looking for a more quaint accommodation in Florence, yet still very close to city center. I stayed 2 nights at this B&B in late March 2012 while visiting my daughter who is studying in Florence for the semester. Ricardo, the owner, was so nice and helpful. He showed us to the... More
