We stayed here for 4 nights and whilst there are imperfections we were happy here. The location is ideal for all the main sights including Duomo, Uffizzi, Mercato centrale etc. It is a former palazzo and has a feel of this grandeur. The reception and bar areas have the wooden furniture from a few decades past and it suits the... More

The location of this hotel is great for a small city. Approx 15 minute walk from the train station in one direction and 10 minutes to the Duomo and lively square in the other. Also at the end of the road is a tourist information center providing very helpful information for our 2 day visit to the city. Also at... More

The Boscolo Astoria Hotel was once a palace! It is beautifully 'quirky' with marble statues, grand marble reception area, antique furniture and a 'wall to wall' commissioned paintings in the frescoed room used for breakfast. The en-suite bedroom was beautifully decorated and the hotel was perfectly situated to see all the sites of Florence. The Duomo, leather markets and the... More

My wife and I have just returned from a 4 day stay. The hotel is passed its sell by date and is in need of a complete refurbishment. It could be fabulous if the owners spent some money on the fabric and furnishings,to be honest its depressing to stay there. The two positives were the staff are great and if... More

I truly think that this hotel has so much potential to be a perfect stay with a beautiful old style feel. It fell short for us during our stay for several reasons. The building inside looked as if it was not very well maintained. Several of the glass ceiling panels were missing or broken. The room was clean and nice,... More

My wife and I visited this hotel on our honeymoon and it was rather underwhelming. The staff were helpful and professional but the hotel itself is getting very old. The bathroom fixtures in our room were difficult to use - the shower could be hot or cold but nothing in between. Many parts of the room are in desperate need... More

My partner and I booked the room via a very good deal, we even thought that it was a scam! Instead it is stunning, old style and very central. It was 2 of use and we had a huge room, split level with 2 single bed and the bathroom downstairs and a huge double bed in the mezzanine. Super comfortable... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and had such a great experience that we felt obliged to write review on TripAdvisor. First, this is a city revered for its Renaissance architecture and art and old world charm, so one should not expect the aesthetics of a sleek, modern hotel that does not vibe well with the ambiance. So for tourists... More

We stayed here this mornth (Mar-2015) as part of our Italy Trip. This was booked as a 4 star hotel as part of our Italy Tour and We did not find this a 4 star property at all. This hotel is located at walking distance from the main railway station making it convinient to travel to the railway station and... More

This is a stunning old converted palazzo. As such, it has a massive amount of old world charm, but doesn't have wifi in the bedroom. Get over it! Our room was great, with a genuine king size bed (not 2 pushed together), armchairs, a desk and a lovely bathroom with bath, power shower and very generous complimentary toiletries. The dining...
