Very odd hotel with a noticeable unpleasant smell permeating the building. Uncomfortable beds and an almost inedible breakfast selection. The only benefit if that there is so much space you often don't hear the other guests and staff were polite if not particularly helpful. Is in a very good location though, if you have a strong stomach!

I am shocked that this is a Boscolo hotel. I stayed at the one in Milan which is modern, clean and pretty good. The Florence one is in a great palazzo but it's run down, breakfast is almost impossible to eat, wifi only in the lobby and rooms shabby and dirty. Definitely not a 4 star hotel as it boasts.... Stayed here on new years eve and new years day. The hotel was beautifully presented as we walked in with the nicest service you could think of. The room was beautiful and the bathroom was very nice and modern. Only down part to this hotel was that our room was next to an elevator which was quite noisy.

My partner and I recently went on a dream holiday. This hotel was our 3rd stop on our road trip. Fantastic location in the city centre with tons of character. Great breakfast service and friendly staff that helped us out on our day excursion to the Chianti vineyards. The lack off wifi in all hotel rooms (you can only use... More

Pros: great location between train station and Duomo; big room (508) with balcony and large bath; very clean room and nice period furniture; nice and warm since it was very cold during our stay; beautiful breakfast room; the roof top deck/ terrace is nice for an overview of the city especially at night with the towers lit. Cons: the smell... More

This is a nice hotel in a great location within walking distance to the train station and main tourist sites. The thing that makes it the most special is the awesome staff. Luigi and Sabina (in particular) went out of their way to make several phone calls to the airport for me and helped with items needed when my luggage... More

This is a hotel converted from a palazzo but it's clean and the room size was good. The desk staff are extremely helpful and nothing was a problem. The breakfast was average for Italy in my experience but the staff would make you a cappuccino if you ask. The location is perfect, it's just around the corner from the train... More

This was a palazzo and still shows some of its former glory - tapestries, huge entrance with magnificent staircase, lovely breakfast room with fresco ceiling etc. We had a large room with an enormous bed and good size bathroom with bath (not just shower). The breakfast was good with lots of choice and the staff were polite and very helpful.

The hotel staff was nice and kind. Very helpful with directions. The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel was close to the train station and easy to get to with luggage. The hotel was in a good location and was in walking distance to most major attractions. I would stay here again.

I had wrote reviews for hotels that I had stayed. So far I had yet to give any negative feedbacks, but think of which there is always a first time. Entering into the hotel (Astoria Florence), the design is rather traditional, but things go wrong as soon as my family enter into the room as assigned. First, both lifts are... More
