We are an Italian family and we enjoyed staying in Grand Hotel Baglioni a lot. The receptionists and the staff are very very nice, especially with very young guests. Breakfast has been wonderful with a spectacular view on the centre and surroundings of Florence ... a dream!!!

The pros of this hotel are two: It is centrally located near the train station and within walking distance of many sites. The view from the restaurant, on the 5th floor of the hotel, is superb. The cons, however, are numerous: 1. I am allergic to dust, and my allergy kicked in as soon as I entered the hotel. It... More

Nice hotel with comfortable beds ( didn't live the sheets though). Bath amenities were good and hairdryer worked fine. Location is centrally located near the train station but not so close that you feel like you're in the wrong neighborhood

This hotelhas the lovely old fashioned grandeur we were after but was let down by the lack lustre welcome and the frankly , in the main, disinterested staff.Unfortunately when the service isn't that good you notice other little things. Real shame,as the building and the location are wonderful but i wouldn't stay again

This hotel is caddy corner from the train station. So for me, It was perfect. The room was spacious but I don't think all are (but I'm not sure). Old world glamour. Easy walk to Uffizi, duomo, and Accademia. Bathroom is elegantly appointed. Bathrobes! Air conditioning is icy! Windows are beautiful leaded glass. Only feedback is as another said staff... More

Wonderful 3 days stay in this lovely hotel. Beautiful room with huge bed and pretty coloured windows, plenty of room and very clean. Very busy last day but not noisy at night. Décor tasteful. Dining room 0n 5th floor had magnificent views of Duomo and surrounding area. Food very good. Hotel within yards of station. Nearby hop on buses. Could... More

Very nice hotel, friendly staff only 5 minutes away from the main Cathedral. The restaurant has a stunning view over Florence. Car parking was a bit high we thought (€36) but not many alternatives. Florence itself is great for wandering so get out and enjoy. Our room had an amazing view of the Cathedral but was unfortunately blocked by scaffolding...not... More

We loved that this hotel was so close to the train station! It's only a few blocks away. The front desk staff were very efficient, but not as friendly as others. They did bring our bags to our room. We had received an upgrade to a better room which we really appreciated. We also loved the free breakfast served every... More

We were met by friendly staff, our luggage was taken to the room for us. The room was perfect, Wonderful view, clean and fresh all through. The restaurant on the top floor has amazing views over the city where you can relax, eat (breakfast is amazing) and enjoy the scenery. Most places of interest were within walking distance and the... Stayed for two nights last month while touring Florence (which is to say Duomo and the immediately surrounding neighborhoods). The hotel is extremely accessible to transportation, being located just across from the train station and has an extremely courteous (and English-speaking) staff. Given that it's located in Duomo, it's also less than a 20 minute walk to most of the... More
