Staff were mostly pleasant and the decor of the hotel was nice. Roof garden and restaurant had fantastic views of the city. Couple of negatives - cleaners would start cleaning at 9am so if you want a lie in chances are you get woken by them cleaning hallways or neighbouring apartments. We put a do not disturb sign one day... More

We stayed in this hotel for family vacation, me and my husband and two kids. We booked for 3 persons. Upon checked in the reception said they upgrade us they gave us a room with a garden in the ground floor ok fine. Room was too small with 2 single bed combined to looks double, the problem was the bed... More

We loved the Hotel Baglioni. The service was wonderful, our rooms were lovely (one had a terrace) and the food in the restaurant was delicious. The Baglioni is conveniently located across from the train station and only minutes from the Duomo. I will stay here again when in Florence. It was a gem!

By far this was one of the better hotels during my Italy trip. The room was really huge, it had an angular shape so seemed a bit unusable at one side but still it was big. The wardrobe and furnitures were also above average. Best part was the bed, of very good standard and size. Clean and good bathroom fittings,... More

Characterful, rambling hotel perfectly sited near the train station and centre of Florence. Traditional style decor with heavy wood, coordinated furniture in clean bedrooms. Well equipped bathrooms and concealed mini-bars. Fantastic roof terrace with excellent selection of non/alcoholic drinks at the bar. Amazing view of Florence and surrounding countryside by day and night. Very friendly, helpful staff. Great selection of... More

The Hotel is located within walking distance of the train station! Extremely nice décor and helpful staff. Centrally located to many tourist attractions and the Hop on Hop off bus stop. The roof top restaurant has an amazing view with an excellent breakfast buffet. We highly recommend this hotel!

Stayed four nights in mid July. Very convenient location - train station and tourist sites are close by. Staff was courteous. Room wasn't bad either. Cute old hotel ambiance. We got stuck in the elevator for about 10 minutes. Pressed the alarm button but that did not seem to make any sounds or light up. Somehow the staff was alerted... More

We stayed in the hotel at Easter and enjoyed it so much we came back again in July. I can tell you at first hand the amount of painstaking work went on in the outside terrace to prepare for summer. Our room this time was a garden room which gave it a lovely extra dimension. The staff couldn't have been... More

Only 2 decent things about this hotel - the location & the view from the restaurant. The room we had was the smallest hotel room we've ever been in anywhere! Dark, dingy & facing into an inner courtyard. As another review stated, the air conditioning is extremely noisy & we had 2 terrible sleepless nights. The breakfast was a shambles,... More

Dear Guest, I regret very much to learn we did not fully respond to your expectations. It is certainly true that our Hotel, part of an ancient historical building, has almost 200 rooms everyone different each other and with different facing. It is a pity you did not give us the opportunity to change from one of our most requested... More

Hotel is an absolute disgrace. The arconditioning is an old system that makes so much noise we could not sleep. On top of that we asked the concierge for a restaurant suggestion and he booked us on a restaurant at the duomo that was well below average

BaglioniHotelmanager, Responsabile relazioni con la clientela at Grand Hotel Baglioni Firenze, responded to this review

Dear Guest, we are sorry you did not have a comfortable stay but I must inform you that we constantly maintain and change our air-conditioning system anytime it needs to be replaced. I also believe that you were upgraded into a renovated deluxe room right after you gave notice of the problem. In fact, your judgment seems overall too tough... More
