We stayed at the Ambasciatori 10 years ago and chose it for its closeness to Santa Maria Novella railway station. For that reason alone you could not fault it. However, while the rooms were clean and comfortable the basic amenities, especially breakfast, were mediocre. Since then the hotel has been overhauled and is now an excellent hotel in every way.... This hotel is situated opposite the major railway station. Room sizes vary, but those overlooking the street have a balcony, which is a great bonus - a lovely place to enjoy the sunset. Meals were generous and travellers in our party raved about the enjoyable late night piano bar on 1st floor. Discount vouchers for the fabulous fish restaurant next... More

Sayed here as part of a group of 5 on a football trip. Right outside Florence's main rail station. Uninspiring exterior but the rooms and public areas are nice. Efficient check in, good beds, average breakfast. Some road noise from rooms at the front. Overall this was a good 2 night stay t a reasonable price.

We stayed here for two nights while on a tour. It is located directly across from the main train station in Florence and within easy walking distance of major attractions like the Duomo. The staff is helpful and friendly, and the buffet breakfast is fine. Rooms are neat and clean, though ours was small by US standards.

My fiance and I stayed here for 6 nights and were very happy with the service. The location is perfect, near the station and all the popular tourist spots are within walking distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful and even made us up a breakfast box to take with us on the last morning as we had an... More

We were on Travelsphere coach holiday "Top to Toe of Italy". Our room 124 , was on the second floor, confusing .Our window looked out on to some piles of something covered by tarpaulins ,not a good start !The beds prevented the fridge door opening ,safe in cupboard .The beds were comfy with extra pillows and blankets available . Pillows... More

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of May. The room was a good size as was the bathroom and we had no complaints about the cleanliness. We were in the newer part of the hotel, on one of the lower floors opposite the train station and were not affected by the noise at all. The bar was... More

Very nice hotel, very close to train station. Away from touristy area, but close walk, near some very nice restaurants frequented by locals. Breakfast was good, rooms were nice, clean and the staff was helpful.

We stayed in this hotel on an organized tour and while it is in a pretty good location (about a 15 minute walk from the Duomo), the rooms are incredibly small (cramped would be an appropriate description). We had 2 suitcases and with both of them in the room we had to step over at least one of them to... More

Just spent 3 nights here at the end of May. It is located directly across from the train station which makes for an easy commute in and out of town. It can be busy, noisy but the sound insulation was pretty good.our balcony over-looked the train station which was disappointing. The rooms appeared clean but are rather small by American... More
