I will start off by saying I am not paid to write this, I PAID to write this (e.g. I actually stayed at the hotel in Sept 2011 and I'm just a bit behind on my review). First, the good: The location was ideal for anyone coming in to or leaving Florence by train -- it is literally across the... More

I booked this through hotels.com and because I got such a reasonable deal, I did not expect much. I was extremely pleasantly surprised. The location is perfect for the train station and within easy walking distance of all the major cultural destinations in the city. My room was newly renovated and very nicely designed. The bathroom with bath tub and... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. How you could see one of our strengths is the proximity to Santa Maria Novella train station and at the same time be so central located, you can reach almost everything by foot. The breakfast service is one of our reward and we boast the fact that our... More

We stayed at the Ambasciatori over the Christmas, New Year Holiday. What a nice hotel. Can't qualify it as boutique because 500+ rooms however it did have the boutique feel. We got the romance package which was awesome! The restaurant included in the package was next door, authentic Italian food. Best gnocchi we had while in Italy. We stayed in... More

We had problems with this hotel from the beginning. Our group arrived on the noon and since rooms weren't ready yet stuff suggested to leave luggage in the check-room. Being completely sure that our baggage was in safe we left for a tour by Florence. There was no limit to my astonishment on return when we figured out that luggage... More

Dear Guest We thank you for the time spent in reviewing our Hotel. Referring to your disappoint, we inform you that our luggage room is allowed access only to staff and that was open at that time because the customers were receiving own luggage from our bell boy. We really regret for the inconvenience of the room and we understand... More

We reached Florence on 9 Dec 2011 morning. The first joy was finding the hotel is right across the Firenze Station, soon it was disappointment. We find the male hotel staff’s attitude at the check in is very unwelcoming, especially to Asian travelers. We were next in the line to check in while we were queuing a bit to the... More

We arrived by train and took the left exit and jumped in a cab to go the hotel - stupid!!! The taxi driver must of thought we were extremely lazy as the hotel was actually across the road - if we had taken the right exit - so yes it is close to the station. It was also a very... More

Next to the station and within easy walking distance to all the sights. This is a modern hotel, which is clean and efficient. The public areas were very pleasant, our room was comfortable, well appointed and relaxing. Breakfast was absolutely first class. Happy to recommend this hotel. More

We were thrilled to find the hotel just in front of the Rail Station! Room was average, location is nice as Florence is pretty small, so we always got around on foot (easy access to everything)... Breakfast is average... I'd definitely stay there again, very convenient hotel. More

our stay in Florence was short, so we don't want to waste our time looking for expensive taxi and stuff. We arrive at the train station, walked across the street and check-in, it is that simple. They even upgraded us to a suite. The service was very very nice. I would stay here again! More
