Fantastic location and the staff were very helpful and friendly.. Excellent breakfast in a relaxed and quiet dining room. We upgraded our room when we got there which was lovely and meant we had a corner room. A little noisy at nights so if you are a light sleeper this may not be the hotel for you unless they can... My wife and i stayed at Room Mate Isabella for 5 nights and were treated with kid gloves from every person we met in this boutique hotel located in the best part of town a hand stretch across from the Strozzi Palace and on top of the Gucci stores. In particular, Simona, Alessandra and Franco stood out for us with... More

This is a small boutique hotel, located right in the middle of the high end shopping street. Walking distance to everything and close to Ponte Vecchio. The Breakfast is pretty good, and the attention at the reception is great. Only complain is the maid service... The did not replace the toilet paper when it ran out, or cleaned the coffee... More

Loved this hotel. Fabulous location, entire hotel very well decorated. Breakfast served until noon, which is a major plus! Breakfast was also very good, good selection. Staff was extremely helpful and recommended excellent restaurants in the area. Would highly recommend this hotel!

My wife and I stayed here from 20th-23rd February 2015 for our wedding anniversary after a recommendation from my sister. It is located within walking distance of all the sights and we didn't get a taxi once during our whole stay. We got the Terravision bus from Pisa airport which took about one hour and the bus stop was only... More

For years I have been returning to visit Florence having lived and studied there. It has always been my favorite city in the world. I have tried various hotels and can honestly say I have found the one I will only stay in on future trips. The location in Via Tornabuoni is perfect. The most beautuful road in Florence, closed... Recently stayed here for 3 nights and would certainly recommend it. Room looked recently decorated, breakfast was better than i expected (included egg & bacon) for a continental style breaky and the staff couldnt do enough to help. 12PM checkout was also a bonus too. Not much i can fault other than the eggs could have been a bit hotter... More

The room was quite large for a European hotel. It is beautifully decorated. The bed was very confortable and everything was very clean. The hotel staff were extremely helpful in going out of their way to accommodate us. If you are looking for a hotel in central Florence, this is it!!

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. We were able to get a corner room on the 2nd floor. The room was very spacious and had a nice decor. The bed was actually two single beds pushed together, so there was a crevice in between. The bathroom was pretty standard, no issues. We were able to adjust the room... More

I couldn't be more proud to have chosen this hotel solely based on my own research and hadn't been to Florence before! The location is superb - walking distance from the main train station (Santa Maria Novella), right on the prestigious shopping street for Tornabuoni (right above Gucci), walking distance to ALL sights. The hotel is extremely clean, rooms are... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
