Pros: The location is great - walking distance to most of the top sites (once you figure out the way through the winding streets). The staff at the front desk was extremely nice, and they are able to schedule taxis at a moment's notice. Breakfast was included in the price of our stay. It mainly consists of pastries, cold cuts,... More

I decided to spend a night in Florence last minute and the Isabella popped up on Booking.com when I first started looking. The pictures looked ok and the reviews seemd good so I went for it not having much time to search. Who knew! it turns out that this hotel is next door to Gucci so a 5 min walk... More

We have just checked out from this hotel and everything about the experience was lovely. We had chosen to carry our luggage up the (25-ish) steps to the reception area- (on the 1st floor) - the receptionist insisted that we should have (as the sign outside suggested) asked for assistance with luggage via the intercom (it had been our decision... I stay here overtime I'm in Florence. You can't beat the location. They rooms are clean, hip yet retain the old world charm of Florence. Great breakfast every morning. Friendly, helpful staff. Don't be alarmed by the flight of stairs at the entrance to get to the lobby. Ring the bell and a bellman will bring your bag up.

The hotel is very well located, walking distance to all the city. The staff are really nice, specially Bart (hope i'm writing his name correctly) and Saimir. Had some problems with the safe box (a problem from the manufacturer) but they were nice enough to offer us a bottle of prosecco. Make sure not to have room 112, as your... More

Had a great stay at Room Mate Isabella. Centrally located on a nice (upmarket shopping) street. No noise issues for sleeping. Usual quirky/funky Room Mate design touches, some work, some not so much. I enjoy the decor, but could probably only stand it for a few days! :-) Great corner room (double deluxe) with plenty of extra space. Bed was... More

The Room Mate Isabella hotel is centrally located on the "designer shop street" within Florence, 10 minutes to the train station & 5 to the river and the duomo. The reception is on the first floor up several steps; thankfully the porter helped us with our bags. Reception staff were very friendly and efficient. We requested we were moved to... More

Stayed in the suite following our wedding and can't say enough good things. Stunning room, and the view, the view, the view! Breathtaking! There are better places to stay in Florence (and we saw one or two of them from the window) but the price and quality must surely make this one of the great getaway hotels in the world.... More

The staff at this hotel make it a 4 star. So accommodating and kind. Sent us free prosecco as a honeymoon gift! The room was nice, a little musty and a window that faced a wall of the building next door. But decorated nicely and comfortable bed. The air conditioning didn't work well but at least it kept the room... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
