Don't stay here. I've got over 50 bed bug bites and had to disinfect everything I was travelling with to kill any that might have crawled into my things. Management didn't believe me, even after showing him all my bites and brushed me off. I even have photos of the bed bugs on the bed. Sheets were also gross and... More

Perfectly located within the city centre and close to many attractions. The problem happens when you meet the people managing the place and notice that they don't care about your level of comfort or the cleanliness of the place. The WiFi doesn't seem to work and I ended up using internet somewhere else.

I am staying at queens hostel right now - and I have been locked out and not given the right keys so I have to sleep on the streets in Florence. Just using the wifi in a local cafe before I find a place in a safe alcove on the streets. This is no exaggeration - I have the keys... More

Not checking these comments before, the most stupid thing that we have ever done. As most says, hostel's location is only good thing. Administrator's attitude towards us is so rude and unproffessional. I do not even want to think and remember room's condition again! Room, bed, sheets, everything is so dirty that you do not want to touch anything. You... More

The hostel is very well located but I think that it is the only positive point. When I was there, it was really dirty and one of the showers did not work. In my opinion it was all a bit chaotic in the recepcion and the sheets of the bed were really dirty. I would never recomend it because I'm... More

The location it's good and in Florence you won't need to use public transportation , we stay in a share Room with other people there were people living in the hostel but the Room was a mess. The bathroom wasn't that bad but you won't feel comfortable in it neither in the kitchen.

Administrator of the hostel is a very nervous person. When me and my friend came to hostel there was only one bed avaliable for that day and the next day they had 2 beds, so we decided to take what they had, leave bags and find another hostel for me. When we were in the kitchen trying to connect to... More

The hostel is extremely basic. Staff gave free map and provided general directions to nearby attractions and amenities. Rooms however were small, cramped and quite dirty. Matresses and beds were old. No fan provided, got very hot at night, also got bitten by mosquitoes and a girl was in our room was bitten by bed bugs (the bug was actually... More

This hostel is entirely infested (I mean INFESTED) with mosquitos. Woke up covered in mosquito bites. They burn insect repellant candles, and it seem to be attracting them. The walls are adorned with dead mosquitos and dried blood. I do not possess the lexicon to describe just how awful this made my trip to Florence. There are two bathrooms. Both... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
