Booked day before arrival via last minute.com for a weekend away in Florence - hotel is 1 minute from Santa Maria Novella Station and if you're a slow walker, 10 mins from the heart of the city. Hotel is located in the 3rd floor of a vintage style building which houses other hotels which made it a little difficult to... More

We arrived early in the morning and we were nicely welcomed by the reception. He gave us a map and tips about visiting the city before even asking! We left the luggage in the reception hall and we were off to visit the city in matter of seconds. When we came back to check-in in the afternoon, they had moved... More

I booked room 12 for one night in June. Now I knew it was going to be a single room with only a shower and a sink in the room (the toilet was outside my room, but it still was mine, since you needed a key to get in). Room 12 is kind of depressing I must say. It is... More

Dear Guest, we are really surprised in receiving your feedback; you have had all the possibilities to choose a different room ( the one with bathroom ) but cause to your limited budget you preferred the cheapest one. Of course the one with bahroom looks and is better; larger ,large bath etc.. You cannot compare 2 different things. Best regards... More

This hotel is basic but nice. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean with a nice bath. Breakfast is good though not elaborate. Good air conditioning if you remember to use the remote. The hotel is close to train station and central market. Good choice if you need to be near the train station. I would stay here... More

Hotel Fiorita was a little hard to find, located on the fourth floor of an otherwise nondescript building, but it delivered on many levels. It was a clean room (dated, but charming), in a perfect location for exploring Florence. They offer a good rate at a garage a block away for parking your car, if you are traveling with one.... More

Dear George C., our Hotel is for sure well located to explore Florence, being so close to the city center.... Many people (like you) are coming with a car, the agreement with the garage nearby at 20 Euro per 24 hours is at the moment the best rate available in this area, where all other garages/parkings cost from 35 up... The hotel is located 5 min. from the train station and 10 min. from the historical heart of the city. So that's a convenient location however if your room in on the street side, you may experience noise in the morning. The building is a bit old but the room were good and the staff was helpful. The breakfast room... More

I booked this hotel on way back through Florence - having stayed previously in a shared bathroom situation, I "splurged" on a private bathroom! I spent a night on the bathroom floor one evening for an unknown reason and was incredibly thankful I had my own space. The single bed was very much a single bed (like most in Italy).... More

We stayed at the Hotel Fiorita for six nights. Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
