Great location and you can walk from the staton if u know the directions, we walked back for our next trip. It will cost u €10 by taxi. The staff are fantastic nothing is too hard for them and they will guide you all the way. They helped me send a courier box home even after we had left. Francesca... More

Visited here with friends for 3 nights. The hotel is in a good location, just a short walk to the Florence Cathedral. It's also very close to the train station but don't let that put you off, we always felt safe by the hotel at night. The rooms were a nice size & very clean. Breakfast was good too. The... More

Great location as it is very near to train station hence it saved me a lot of time and shopping is nearby too. Execellent services from the staff esp the front desk staff who have been very helpful. Will definitely come back to this hotel for my future trips.

We had to write and say how much we enjoyed the personal service at this hotel. We stayed 3 nights in July and benefited greatly especially from the desk clerk David's excellent restaurant recommendations and general advice on travel in Italy. His enthusiasm and personal touch made it feel like coming home each day. He truly loves his job and... More

The costumer service is great, starting from the front desk person to the room keeper. The room was huge and clean. The breakfast was OK. The front desk guy explained everything about what to do in Florence and they also worried about the security of the guests. In general I highly recommend this hotel.

Me and fiancée stayed here as part of our 4 week tour of Europe and this hotel was great. We arrived at 10am and check in wasn't until 2pm however the man at the desk gave us an upgraded room (which had a jacuzzi bath in) and a early check in. He was really helpful and told us about Florence... More

We spent 3 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed. It's a short walk from the train station and within easy walking distance of the city centre. The excellent central market is just around the corner and there are decent restaurants a-plenty in the local area. The air-con could have been a bit more effective but the room was clean and airy... Very convenient location, approx 5 mins walk from Santa Maria Novella railway station and the main bus station. The superior rooms are fine. The air conditioning seems to be an ongoing problem. The breakfast was adequate but not very interesting and the layout of the breakfast room tables and position of the food can make it a bit chaotic on... More

This was an excellent hotel, right at the heart of the city - a short walk from the railway station. The staff were friendly and helpful and the accommodation was very comfortable. The concierge gave useful advice on nearby restaurants for our evening meals and made the bookings for us. Breakfasts were good and set us up well for the... More

The good of this hotel is the location. It's close by to the train station as well as the bus station. It's also right next to the leather market and mercado centrale. Very walkable to almost any spot in Florence. The bad is that the actual hotel is pretty poor. There is NO way this should be a 4 star... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
