My family and I (hubby, 2 kids; 4yrs and 2 yrs) spent a week at Hotel Pendini and we were very happy with everything it had to offer. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast plentiful and relatively healthy....if you had the will power to stay away from the endless supply of nutella......and it was clean and spacious.... more
Hotel Pendini feels like it opened as a nice hotel a hundred years ago and hasn't changed since. But it has free wi-fi in the desk area, several English channels on TV, and great air conditioning. The rooms are large. Everything feels very old and in need of fresh paint, but overall we liked it fine. It's on the 3rd... more
Stayed in the pendini for 2 nights, i have chosen the hotel based on the reviews on the trip advisor web site; and i was happy to find them all valuable; the hotel is very good located in the very center of the city, 2 mn walking from the DUOMO and the shopping area and the historic area. The hotel... more
Located in the top floor of an old building. Not a very pleasent entrace. Perfect location, near the center of the city. Walking distance from the atractions. Large old fashioned rooms. Normal breakfast for a 3 star hotel, not much variety. more
What a fab location. We arrived in Florence on a Saturday evening with no reservation and just happened to drive past it and stopped. As another reviewer said, the entrance is not a good first impression but once you get to the 4th floor to the reception things are very good. Great value, great location, couldn't fault it for the... more
Reached hotel on foot from train station in less than 10 minutes with guidance from hotel staff. Hotel entrance needs facelift but upper floors and rooms are great. Breakfast is very plentiful, varied and good. Bathroom and bedroom very clean and quite spacious and also quiet at night time. From our room window could see Piazza della Repubblica sideways as... more
We stayed here for three nights. The room was huge and spottlessly clean. The furniture was a little dated but that didn't bother us too much. No hairdryer or kettle or iron though which I though was a bit mean. Plenty of hot water. Breakfast very basic indeed but there was plenty of it and no-one came to hurry you... more
Taking recommendations from Rick Steve's Tuscany/Florence book and doing some internet research, I booked 2 connecting family rooms for our group of 4 couples at this hotel. 2 of our group live in Italy and have been to Florence many times, 2 had been twice before, and it was the first visit for 4 of us. All of us were... more
I had stayed at Hotel Pendini in 2005 and had a very small double room that was unfortunately exposed to some significant piazza middle-of-the-night noise. This time, I had a single that was probably double the size of the previous room. It was in a different section and required walking through a couple of passage ways. I believe the room... more
