I stayed at Hotel Dante for a couple of days in Apr 2009. The room was clean and quite, the breakfast was good - and the best was the service minded and friendly staff. Yonas, you are the best! I can really recommend the hotel - but forget a beautiful view from you room. /fredrik, Sweden more

Antonio, the new owner, went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable! The rooms are very nice, the rates were reasonable, the location is great (although it was about an 8 euro taxi ride to the train station). Free internet in the lobby, a decent breakfast area, and an amazingly friendly staff. We had a triple, which was... more

We booked Hotel Dante through Venere.com. What a find! It is located in a safe, quiet alley right behind the beautiful church of Santa Croce (where Galileo, Machiavelli, Rossini and other notables were buried). At night the little square in front of the church is filled with locals as well as tourists just hanging out, enjoying the cool air. The... more

Located close to S. Croce, a beautiful church. The rooms were dark and small. The staff were great! Not very of a "wow" breakfast. Just juice, croissants, baguettes and jam. Far from the railway station and just 5 min walk to Piazza Signora. All in all a chramful, nice hotel. more

Our family of four (two adult children) experience with Hotel Dante was, there were several ants on the kitchen table when we arrived, killed them and put all of the food we had in our little refrigerator and never saw any more. The room my husband and I slept in was only large enough to fit a sofa bed type... more

The Hotel Dante is very clean and well-located with okay bathrooms. However, the quadruple room we requested for the children wasn't really fit for 4. The connecting room with an old sofabed was dark and none of the teens ended up stayed there since there was hardly any ventilation in it. They ended up cramped in the double bed. Was... more

This hotel was the most appalling hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms were terrible. It felt like being couped up in a cell with really bad 70's furniture. Plus you had to leave your passport and your room key with weird staff every time you went out. When we booked our room it didn't tell us we had... more

As party of six adults and after being changed to this hotel as the original one we booked was being closed for refurbishment, we were not really sure what to expect. Although we were not disappointed when we arrived. The transfer from the airport(Pisa) to Florence was a piece of cake and then a short taxi ride from the train... more
