We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights at the start of a 10 day stay in Tuscany. It was very well placed for us to walk to all the major venues in Florence although the first sight of the hotel, down a somewhat dingy street was a little disconcerting. But not to worry. The hotel was clean and comfortable,... More

Close enough to walk to almost everything you'll want to see and do in Florence - Duomo, Basilica Santa Croce, Piazzale Michelangelo, Palazzo Vecchio, Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi Gallery, Galleria Dell'Accademia. Great restaurants (Il Francescano, fabulous food, review to follow), coffee bars (Ditta Artigianale), gelato shops, etc, etc all nearby. You'll have to leave your key at the front desk when... More

We stayed at the Dante Hotel for three nights and found it very comfortable and well-located with all the key sites you would want to visit within walking distance - although the Markets and Academe were quite a long walk! The room we had was very clean and spacious having two bedrooms and a little kitchette area, which was great... More

Hotel Dante has an unprepossesing exterior located in one of the narrow streets off Piazza di S.Croce. We walked from the station which maybe wasnt the greatest idea. It is do-able, but see a map to see how its location relates to S.Maria Novella! The room was clean, but small and as the window opened onto one of the small... More

We were for 3 days in Florence and the hotel was perfect. Very good location near Santa croche and all places to be in Florence. Also good prices and nice service. The breakfast was included and we had every morning tasty Italian coffee made personally for each of us.

We stayed only shortly, but enough to be warmly welcome and taken care of. The place was clean and well cared. The rooms are spacy for the price and the people at the front desk were very helpful although our poor Italian abilities. Highly recommended for comfy travel on budget.

The location of this hotel is really good, close to a square popular with tourists and locals alike, but in a quiet side street, so no street noise on a night. The hotel itself is a bit tired; the furniture in our room was badly in need of renewal but all completely functional. The hotel is very clean although in... More

Basic hotel in the heart of Florence. I give full stars only for location. It's perfect - quiet place, on the corner of Piazza Santa Croce. Walking distance from from the most attractions. We stayed 3 nights in room 303. Photos in www.booking.com are not real. Room and furniture need to renewal.. .., but it wasn't problem for us, because... More

Located in a little street (Via San Cristofano) close to the beautiful Basilica of Santa Croce, this is a family-run budget-hotel located within walking distance of most of the attractions in Florence. The rooms are clean, but small. The air-conditioner in our room used to make a lot of noise in its cooling mode, so we had to run it... More

This hotel is on a quite, practically closed for traffic street, right in the midst of all attractions and restaurants. It is a 2-3 star hotel, with smallish, well used rooms. The hotel is kept clean but there is no way to hide tear and wear. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Wifi is unsecured and is capable of streaming... More
