after we left in the middle of the night a horrible place found through airbnb, we found this place and it was everything you can wish for from a hotel in Florence. Centrally located, great service, great view, super clean and with a fantastic view of the Arno from our balcony. What really made the difference was the great non... More

Hotel Balestri has incredible views and the rooms are very modern and comfortable. There was valet parking as trying to find parking in Florence is a nightmare. The rooftop terrace is perfect for sun down drinks and has an amazing view of the Duomo.

My daughters and I stayed at this hotel July 7th and 8th, 2015. The photos on their web page were somewhat misleading. It's true that it has all been redesigned and redecorated, but it seems like they stopped their work before they'd added the finishing touches. In our rooms (we had adjoining rooms), there was furniture, lighting, a chair and... More

Wish it had better staff. Great location. Breakfast in the AM had amazing blood orange juice. Staff seemed to be multi-purpose - maintenance man was the bartender at night. Seemed like a plug & play of staff. Room was very large.

Our travel specialist, Eleonora Burci arranged for two rooms at Hotel Balestri during our stay in Florence. The Hotel is new, absolutely gorgeous, marble floors and beautifully decorated. The staff is friendly and most willing to help you with anything you need!. The Lobby and Bar Area is a welcome respite for the weary to enjoy a cocktail or coffee.... More

We were only here for 2 nights. The room was lovely with access to a delightful roof terrace with stunning views across town. The reception staff could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was considerably better than the previous reviews seem to suggest.

The taxi driver smiled when we told him our location. Located on the river, in the heart of the city, this hotel offers spacious yet modern accommodations, a spectacular breakfast, and an insider's knowledge of the city that they are happy to share. We found access to our desired museums, and great restaurants, and the best sunset hike. This hotel... More

The hotel is very well located, right on the river with amazing views - could just sit at the window and look at the view. On top of this, it is recently renovated and is beautifully decorated. The location is also within easy walking distance to the main sights (we never needed even the public transport). We also walked from... More

Stayed 4 nights at the Balestri hotel which sits right on the river. Room had no view and therefore no noise but being on the second floor, odors where coming from either the street below or river - could not tell which. Aside from that, hotel is nice and in a great location within 5 min walking to Ponte Veccio.... More

I really liked the Hotel Balestri. Location was great, just the right balance of near everything and quiet location. Our room was absolutely clean, nice bathroom, plenty of room. One odd thing is our room had only 'porthole' style windows which limited the view. Room was very quiet, we slept well. We had access to a nice rooftop patio. Breakfast... More

Staying in Uffizi

Neighborhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
