Loved this hotel, staff were so friendly and helpful, room was large and had really good bathroom, towels were thick and lush. Even breakfast was outstanding. These guys pay attention to detail and give great customer service. They helped me with places to visit and to eat, suggesting some not so tourist like venues and they spoke good English.

Of our 2 week trip to Italy we spent 5 nights of it here at Hotel Balestri and boy was it worth it. What a beautiful hotel. The price, the location, and everything about the hotel exceeded our expectations. It has been very recently updated and is located on the Arno River. They have a rooftop terrace that has some... This is a lovely, modern hotel in the heart of Florence, alongside the River Arno. The room was very clean and featured a four-piece bathroom (shower, not tub). Toiletries provided were first-rate and slippers were included. My understanding is that it re-opened this year after extensive renovations. We booked a room with a river view through an on-line booking company... More

Perfect location near main sites. Arrived by car. Greeted & made to feel very welcome. Car valet parked & luggage taken to room. Staff universally professional but friendly & attentive. Couldn't fault room. Breakfast was good. Highly recommended.

We are used to larger chain type hotels (Marriotts and Hiltons) but we chose this hotel for the location. It paid off, cost was reasonable and we were very happy with our stay. Room was not large but clean and modern with AIR CONDITIONING, and even had a balcony which we did not expect. Our room was quiet as we... More

after we left in the middle of the night a horrible place found through airbnb, we found this place and it was everything you can wish for from a hotel in Florence. Centrally located, great service, great view, super clean and with a fantastic view of the Arno from our balcony. What really made the difference was the great non... More

Hotel Balestri has incredible views and the rooms are very modern and comfortable. There was valet parking as trying to find parking in Florence is a nightmare. The rooftop terrace is perfect for sun down drinks and has an amazing view of the Duomo.

My daughters and I stayed at this hotel July 7th and 8th, 2015. The photos on their web page were somewhat misleading. It's true that it has all been redesigned and redecorated, but it seems like they stopped their work before they'd added the finishing touches. In our rooms (we had adjoining rooms), there was furniture, lighting, a chair and... More

Wish it had better staff. Great location. Breakfast in the AM had amazing blood orange juice. Staff seemed to be multi-purpose - maintenance man was the bartender at night. Seemed like a plug & play of staff. Room was very large.

Our travel specialist, Eleonora Burci arranged for two rooms at Hotel Balestri during our stay in Florence. The Hotel is new, absolutely gorgeous, marble floors and beautifully decorated. The staff is friendly and most willing to help you with anything you need!. The Lobby and Bar Area is a welcome respite for the weary to enjoy a cocktail or coffee.... More

Staying in Uffizi

Neighborhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
