This hotel was in the perfect location for exploring Florence and super close to the train station. Everything we needed was in easy walking distance and we found plenty of great restaurants nearby. And even a laundromat. The breakfast was good and the staff was more than happy to call restaurants and make reservations for us. The room itself was... More

The hotel Unicorno is situated just off the Piazza Maria Santa Novella. This is a great location, centrally positioned in this beautiful city, just around the corner from this large piazza and quite close to the railway station. The hotel is quite old but well maintained and very clean with air conditioning. Only difficulty for some people could be the... More

We spent 2 nights at the hotel in september 2014 and had one of the "dated" rooms. The room was big enough and it had air conditioning and a minibar, but the bathroom was really really small, and there were quite a few hair strands in the shower when we arrived. On the bright side the hotel has a very... More

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Unicorno in Florence for four days. We were in Florence celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. The room was comfortable, the bed was very good and the location of the hotel was excellent. While we were in Florence we took a side trip to Vernazza in Cinque Terra and the train station was... The room we had on the first floor is dated - especially the bathroom, but was air-conditioned and we were on the quieter side of the hotel so didn't experience much traffic noise. the Reception staff could not have been more helpful and the location of the hotel is excellent for getting around Florence. Value for money.

This hotel is close to the train station and city centre however this is by far the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed at. We were in room 100 which is next to the breakfast area and looks over a laneway. The room was large however unrenovated like the advertised pictures suggest and we were kept awake all night with... The major selling point for this hotel is its location. Its a five minute walk from the S.M.N train making it ideal for tourists and those travelling on business. I had a single room on the second floor which was typically small (as expected in Italy). The shower was tiny, which made it uncomfortable but adequate. The breakfast was good.... More

We stayed here for 2 nights on the 3rd floor. The room was nice and clean. The elevator is an experience! The reception was very helpful and nice to talk to. The breakfast was typical hotel breakfast but perfectly fine for us!

Me and my wife stayed here for 4 nights, we arrived to a fairly nice reception room and welcomed in by the Receptionist and we were given our key to our room pretty swiftly. Once we got to our room (2nd floor) it was fairly spacious, dated but clean apart from the bathroom which was one of the worst I've... More

We stayed for 3 nights in July and found the hotel very convenient for seeing the sights in Florence. It is within easy walking distance of the train station, duomo, river arno and many art galleries etc. Most of the staff we encountered were friendly, especially the guy on the desk in the mornings who gave us a map and...
