We chose to upgrade to one of their newer rooms and it was definitely worth it. It was a fair sized room, very modern and newly furnished. The bathroom was lovely. Very clean and neat. The staff are fantastic and probably the most clued up receptionist yet in terms of the attractions in Florence. Comfortable bed and great location if... More

close to train station, near lots of sidewalk restaurants, easy walking distance to river and many Piazza's. Staff friendly enough and room clean and plenty big enough. Breakfast basic usual European style.

Ideally located, a short walk from the railway station and the city sights. This hotel is situated down a small side street and looks pretty unimpressive from the outside. However, we were very happy with our room on the third floor. It was clean and quiet, with free wifi, a powerful shower and comfortable beds. We expected a roll and... More

This is a small hotel close to the main attractions of Florence. It not flash but it serves it purposes. Well worth walking up to Piazza di Santa Maria Novella as there are a couple of decent ristorante's and bars there. The staff are lovely and really helpful.

This hotel has a very good location with al the tourist attractions, restaurants and shopping on walking distance. Our room on the 3rd floor was renovated, of normal size and quiet, but had a boring view towards the Backyard. The air condition in the room didn´t work properly when we arrived, but the friendly staff in the reception fixed the... More

We call this hotel a gem because of its strategic location - walking distance to train station, shopping and food. Hotel's friendly staff, good breakfast spread and tip top room condition provided. Will definitely stay here the next time we visit again.

We booked at Unicorno when we couldn't find openings at any of the hotels we had liked on previous trips to Florence. We were a little worried because some of the reviews here made it sound a little tired and worn around the edges. That certainly wasn't our experience. It's just a block off the big square at Santa Maria... More

We liked the hotel very much, the hotel is in a very central location, which makes it easy to discover Florence. Train station and buses to Pisa are also very close. Nice and clean room, overally quite comfortable and spacious, friendly staff. Breakfast could be better, we missed a teracce, but hotel is very centrally located, so understandable.

The rooms and bathrooms in this hotel are nasty, There was blood steins and hairs all over our bed sheets the staff was very unhelpfull and unfriendly. The pictures do not show the real condition of the rooms. The breakfast was very mediocre, in conlusion I am sure that is has been my worst hotel experience ever. I do not... More

The Hotel Unicorno does all that we wanted for a weekend in Florence, close to all attractions, good size room with fair amenities and helpful staff. The let down was the travel company, Expedia, giving the wrong flight time for the return. We arrived, going by the paperwork, with 20 minutes to clear security and get to the departure gate....
