We just returned from five wonderful days at the Monna Lisa hotel in Florence. The location, on a truly authentic side street, gave us the feeling of being residents, not tourists. Walking over cobblestones from the hotel, to reach the street was a daily trip into the past. Reaching our room through courtyards and graceful lounge areas was a pleasure.... More

Stayed here for 2 nights for our honeymoon. Romantic entrance, beautiful garden in the courtyard were you can have breakfast, weather permitting. Great location, close to various piazzas. Overall we had a great experience. Last note-no irons in European hotels :)

My sister-in-law and I spent 3 nights at the Monna Lisa and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is charming, with an interesting history. Our room was quite nice, although small as are most European rooms. The breakfast was very good and the coffee outstanding. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating, even setting up a room for us to entertain... More

My wife and I stayed at the Monna Lisa during our honeymoon. In all, we visited five cities in Italy, and Florence would have been our favorite... WOULD HAVE... if our hotel experience wasn't so negative. Our room was outdated and kind of shabby - especially compared to some of the other open rooms we walked by. Think water-stained, flowery... We just returned from Italy and spent three glorious nights at the Monna Lisa. I can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel. It is perfectly located on a quiet street within walking distance the city's center. The staff was first rate, very helpful in everyway. We were originally given a room that was up two flights of stairs but... More

The Hotel Monna Lisa is a wonderful retreat in the city center - slightly removed from the crowds of tourists yet only a few minutes walk to all the sites. I stayed two nights and was sorry I couldn't stay longer. My room in the Limonaia was beautifully decorated, spacious and very comfortable. The bath was also spacious and the... More

Hotel Monna Lisa is a great place to stay. The room we had was huge! I was a bit concerned at first because we were located on the ground floor just across from the bar and the breakfast room. I thought there would be noise problems, and it kind of made me uncomfortable to be so close to the public... More

I stayed 5 days at the Monna Lisa in the old buidling, then took a side trip to Naples, and returned to Florence, spending 2 more nights in the new addition. I loved this hotel. The first room was charming, with beautiful wooden beams in the ceiling. The newer room was also quite large, especially by the standard of most... More

Our family group of 3 adults stayed at the Monna Lisa during a 4 day visit to Florence. We booked thru a travel agent a few months before our trip and had no issues with overbooking or wrong accommodations, such as I've read about on this site. We found this hotel to to exceed our expectations in most all areas:... More

A stunning hotel in the middle of Florence but down a quiet road within easy distance of the Duomo. Staff are friendly. Decor is excellent. A real compliment to good taste. Anyone who doesn't appreciate this hotel is sadly missing something.
