My husband and I stayed here for a week. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and good quality. We travelled into the centre of Florence by No 17 bus and enjoyed the peace and tranquillity of staying out of the city centre. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly... More

Overall really bad experience with the hotel but the service is exceptional. - Water pressure is non-existence - there are days with no hot water - Wifi signal is really weak - Walls are very thin and I could hear my neighbors bathing - very noisy estate as they host alot tour groups everyday - the hotel location is very... This hotel used to be a convent. The hotel conversion turned out great. Rooms with solid walls help for sound isolation. Nice american brekfast. It definitely desrves its 4 stars, although one knows Best Western is more at 3-star level.

The hotel is an old monastery and is located at the base of a large hill. It is somewhat east and north from the center of town. It is not walking distance to the Duomo or Ufizzi. The rooms are large and very clean. There is a breakfast area down stairs and the food is typical of most breakfasts with... More

The Hotel Villa Gabriele is in a suburb of Florence. It is a converted 19th century monastery. A little bit austere but it has all the required comforts. The rooms are light and airy with air-con, tiled floors, modern en-suites and firm beds. As in so many hotels the corridors can be noisy at various times of the day. There... More

Nice hotel, clean big rooms BUT there is no restaurant you get breakfast, that's it and IF there is a place near to eat they open late or not at all, especially Sunday. Staff are friendly and try to help but I wouldn't stay again in a hurry due to location being bit far out and no where to eat.... More

We found the hotel very clean and most of the staff are very nice (the bearded late night barman should smile a bit). The fact that there is no restaurant let the hotel down a bit, it is not quite a 4 star. The bed was a king size but really quite hard. The breakfast was normal Italian fare and... More

The dual aspect room we were allocated was, we think, able to be a family room as well. Lovely clean, bright, spacious and airy. The bed we found rather hard! Reasonable breakfasts. The big plus for me was the swimming pool - sun warmed!!! but fortunately we were there when it was hot! Staff very helpful. Don't book there if... More

This place is great if you like the beauty and quiteness of Florence. The rooms are nice and clean and the small garden with pool is cozy. I could wish for a more international breakfast with real juice, but the rest covers that lack.

Hotel is well situated for those who prefer to stay away from city noise. Its near two bus routes the 10 and 17. The former route ends at San Marco Sq. which is a 5 minute stroll from Duomo and Florence's attractions are all then reasonably close by. The 17 also stops at the square but then heads on to...
